Wonderful location close to 72nd Beach. She be quiet. And the management hosts were wonderful. They did a great job. The unit was clean and beautiful and wonderful. The common areas could use a little paint / maintenance, but it was still perfect and wonderful.

Quiet location, peaceful, comfortable room, excellent restaurant nearby for breakfast or lunch, easy access to the beach, moderate 15-minute walk on the pleasant 5th avenue pedestrian walk to restaurants for dinner, safe, very convenient access to excellent nearby scuba and freediving shops, feels much more like Mexico than the other end of Playa del Carmen. Typical Mexican solar hot water delivers only slightly warmer water at best. A bit expensive for what it is.

The Facilities were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and clean. The bathroom cleaning products were natural and organic. Every thing was very clean and good looking. There was no one at Reception to make an early check out. There was no pool as the brochure mentioned. There was no parking as the brochure mentioned. No one could help us with our needs. It's not on a nice area. It's not close to the beach as it was mentioned. One of the beds was very close to the closet and the door wasn't able to open.

I think that roof top could use some shade from sun , if wanted

Nothing. Could not lock door. Building wasn't secure. Air conditioning didn't work. Balcony was a concrete cell. Pool area was dirty and small.

The location is great and staff was very friendly. No maintenance, the fotos are from many years ago, it all looks old and shabby now, the room was not cleaned properly. I found hair on the floor and in the shower, lots of dust on the night stand, the floor wasn’t mopped and the closet smelled like sweaty shoes. I didn’t wanna put anything inside. Management is very rude and wasn’t helpful. They are more focused on making money than being in a Zen state like their name claims. If it would be half price it’s ok but for more than 1000 pesos a night you can get better options in Playa for sure.

The location The standard was very low and it was highly overpriced. The property also charged in pesos and not USD as stated in the booking. This cost me an extra 200 USD (appr) due to exchange rates. The property has shown no willingness to solve this. Neither has Booking.com so far. In addition the kitchen was extremely poorly equipped and I had to buy several items to be able to actually prepare food (i.a. knife and cut board, pots). The property is poorly maintained in general and they do not check if everything is functioning before guests arrive - like the shower. It took several days before I had a barely functional shower.

Nothing We were truly thrilled to stay at the Ocean Zen Suites & were disappointed to see the condition of the room. When we arrived the receptionist showed us to our room & made us aware of a leak. We were shocked to see that the entire floor in the room was wet & there was mold on the floor by the air conditioner. We were terrified of having a slip & fall accident as well as an asthma attack or lung infection. I would have greatly appreciated getting a heads up about this! We asked about switching rooms & were told there were no others available so we left. We wasted a great deal of time after a log day of traveling. I have messaged the hotel as well as bookings several times with no avail. I do expect to receive full & prompt refund!

Got locked out of my room for several hours on my first evening with my phone, wallet and change of clothes inside and a litany of problems resulted from that

It is on the less developed side of town and is quiet at night. No hot water for 5 days. Staff and management did not fix the issue after they said they would. The sheets were old and dirty. The refrigerator did not get cold. The room smelled moldy. The pool on the roof was dirty and it was not possible to swim in or enjoy. The furniture on the roof is in disrepair.

Clean, comfortable and accommodating Everything was great
-
A kid kicked a ball onto our balcony in the middle of the night. Scared the crap out of us.
-
Our suite was clean and comfortable, great location. There is no indoor pool as listed. The wifi was terrible and our patio was about as wide a pizza box with a solid concrete wall for a view.

Perfect quiet location

It was within walking distance to the beach. A nice walk to quinta avenida. Close to food and nightlife. Wasn't very clean, rather run down. Absolutely no water pressure. No hot water. It's not a kitchen as advertised. Aside from microwave no way to cook in your room. Advertised a balcony.... more like a fire escape. Noisy due to construction next door. Only a sheet provided for bedding.

The Staff were like angels including the beautiful mayan cleaner, the establishment has a really special tranquil zen feel, rooms a large and spacious with large full frontal opening doors leading to patio/ balcony. The owners Brother is so kind and helpful, this is a place to stay if you want to grow.

Very close to the beach Room was big and comfortable Is in the main road but a few blocks away from the main place. They have in the ground floor this tiny tiny tiny pool with water with 3 turtles inside, I think is completely unnecessary and turtles should not be held in captivity for no reason The staff is not that nice, they give you the remote controls in a tupperware, with a pen even attached to the same tupperware and they check the room at checkout like it was the most luxurious place....

No coments it was ok

Inexpensive hotel, close to the beach and restaurants. Evening security on site at property. I felt very safe. The spiral staircase isn’t for anyone with physical disabilities.

The manager Sergio was great, really helpful and friendly. There is a beautiful public beach just a short wall from the apartments, it's a dog beach, so it's perfect to bring your furry friends to. The rooms are very pretty and the balcony is lovely. (Anywhere but the ground floor!) The pool on the roof is nice, however not much shade and no steps inside the pool so my mum couldn't get in it. The ground floor flat which I asked for because my mother finds stairs difficult was like a dungeon, almost no natural light so they moved us the second day to the first floor which was a million times better. Unfortunately the window hadn't closed properly and we hadn't noticed so I didn't sleep for most of the night from noisy neighbors. So check behind the curtains to make sure the windows are closed all the way. It is not walking distance from the center, so you need to have a car or get a bike. The kitchen in the rooms only have very very basic equipment. No stove or over, only a microwave. And nothing to cook food in.
