Gemmis in Pompeii

For solo female travelers with heavy luggage, this hotel might not be the most convenient option. The rooms are located on the second floor and there is no elevator. Unfortunately, there was no assistance available to help with carrying the suitcase upstairs. It's something to keep in mind when booking.

the accomodation is very close to Basilica Hard to find direction however Alfonso was able find us after many attempts trying to call in mobile

The location was great. We were walking distance to everything thing we needed. The building was nice and quiet. Pompeii ruins were a five minute walk. And there was amazing coffee nearby.

Great location in city center with good rooms Wifi was disconnecting frequently, which made it difficult to work. Coffee at breakfast was not enough and the staff was slowly in replying. Had to wait for my check in even tho I told upfront when I’ll be there.

As soon as we walked u could just smell how clean it was and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous for the price one of the best and comfortable places I've stayed. He also provided refreshments and breakfast. The guy was really nice and helpful to. Highly recommend ? I liked everything there was nothing not to like there

The location was very close to the sanctuary. Upon entering the room was not clean up to standard. A sock was found lying on the floor. The cushion covers were dirty. The towels could have been cleaner. There was only one bedside table. The room was not properly cleaned to welcome us as the next guests. No staff present during our stay.

Excellent breakfast, very clean, good customer service, good location, quiet, safe! The location was not easy to find.

We liked how it was very well furnished, with a lovely theme and was super clean and comfortable. The room was cosy and slept well. Breakfast was delicious and the location was great. The walls are quite thin so we could hear a lot going on next door and above us, but it didn’t stop us sleeping just woke us up a few times. It was ok for one nights stay but probably not for longer. Also it was great to have a kettle in the room but a shame the plug socket was too far away so we had to put it on the floor for it to work. So just some small little details missing!

Good location and has nice polite employees The facilities are really old, from the '70s. They needed to be an upgrade.

There is not specific place to leave the keys outside the property, if you do check out early like I did and there is no staff around,you will need the keys to open the main building door and the gate door outside to exit the property and then go back inside leave the keys in main area ,so you will need something or somebody to keep the doors open for you

The location is good, 15 minute walk from the train station. Communication was very bad, they didn’t answer the messages on the chat before we arrived there, I had to call them once I was in Pompei. Upon arrival we realized the room was not cleaned properly. The bed sheets are very bad quality and see through, the pillow cases had stains and the bed was full of hair. The blanked on the bed had an oily stain. The blanket doesn’t have a bed cover, and I doubt they clean it often so it’s extremely unhygienic… All the surfaces were dusty or had stains, in the bedroom area, the bathroom area. The nightstands were broken. The radiator in the bathroom was full of rust. The small table on the balcony had the top missing. Initially we booked the quadruple room for one night, that had a small kitchen, but because of the state of the room they let us move into a different one (that was a bit better and more clean). The kitchen area was disappointing, not only everything was crusty and oily, the small oven looked disgusting, and no cutlery or salt/etc, so we wouldn’t have used it anyway. The person who I was in contact with wasn’t at the accommodation when we changed rooms, instead, there were two girls that were a bit rude ( one of them said it’s the owner). It’s hilarious how we complained that the first room was not clean, and they managed to give us another room that they didn’t fully check and clean. I was surprised to open the mini fridge and see a half drank bottle of coca-cola, stains and crumbs. And the same problem with hairs on the bedsheets/in the bed. The breakfast table (which is in the hallway of the apartment - keep in mind, the entire accommodation is an apartment turned into b&b rooms) is very minimal and poor, for example the first morning we used the last coffee pod for the machine, bad luck for the people after us.

It was as pictured, clean and easy to access.
