Classic hotel comfort. Great staff and location.

The beds were uncomfortable

This was our second stay at Hotel Palma. Clean, with front desk, elevator, breakfast, and even a little bar area. Rooms are smallish, but we chose a larger one and were rewarded with a balcony and great views of town. The views from the roof are also very nice! One of its greatest qualities is its location -- right in central Pompeii near it wonderful cathedral and larget piazza. Lots of restaurants and shopping, the really beautiful cathedral, The hotel is, literally, across the street from train staton Pompei Sanctuario, and only a few minutes walk from the central Pompei station that will take you to the ruins at Pompei Scavi-Villa dei Misteri. Hotel La Palma has a number of things to recommend it, including parking if you come by car. This time, we are reliant on trains and taxis, and having the front desk available to call taxis was a plus. Breakfast is simple but good, and evening cocktails are very pleasant, either sitting at the bar, o rin the pretty lobby. Many staff members speak some English, which also makes it handy. Although further from the Ruins, we like "real" Pompeii. On a warm summer night, one can sit on the Piazza and watch locals walk and socialize. We were there in December this time, so it was fun to see the refurbished piazza, and Christmas lights. Needless to say, we were there for the Ruins both times which are amazing -- and greatly expanded since our first visit! Well worth another visit if you've already been.

Great location for visiting Pompeii ruins. Super friendly and helpful staff. Chef Luigi is a great cook.

The hotel was an excellent location, a short walk to the ancient city of Pompeii. I attended a concert by Andrea Bocelli in the ancient amphitheater and enjoyed the short walk to and from the concert. I particularly enjoyed the wonderful sunset views of Vesuvius from the rooftop garden, only a short walk from my room. The staff were very nice.

Location Breakfast Breakfast has min hot food which is not replaced and cold if you don’t get down the first 2 hours. Plenty of cold foods but slow to get replaced if at all when they run out. Might have been midweek staff because on Friday seen one waiter giving out to the guy for not replacing the ham plate when it was empty and there were no forks left. No shower curtain and bathroom door didn’t close properly never mind lock

Lovely hotel and ideal location close by to Pompeii archaeological park. Clean and staff were great.

Really close to the main square and the Pompei ruins. The rooftop offered beautiful views of the mountains.

The hotel was very nice. We arrived early in the morning and they allowed us to check in early. Thanks to them, we were able to go sightseeing in Pompeii right away. None

Great service and place, a lovely old fashioned (in the best meaning of old fashioned) hotel with pinch of bella Italia for anyone who wants to spend quality time. You can easily find the hotel, great restaurant around, just perfect, not the usual trap for travellers

Good location and good breakfast.

Our 4 night stay at this classic Italian hotel was simply perfect. On arrival the gentleman at reception greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. All the simple things were provided such as wine glasses, safe, fridge, comfy bed and fluffy towels. I only came to Italy with a European plug to charge my phone and I thank the lovely lady at reception who went out of her way to provide an adaptor. Breakfast choices were excellent and I just loved the crispy bacon. Brilliant housekeeping (thank you ladies!). Location is great with a 10 minute walk to both the Ruins and Station.

Hotel Palma is in a perfect location, just a few minutes' walk from the entrance to the Pompeii ruins and surrounded by plenty of nearby restaurants. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection, making for a great start to the day. The rooms are nice, although a bit old, which is expected given the building’s historic nature, but they are more than adequate for a short stay. The standout feature of this hotel is the amazing staff, who are extremely helpful with anything you need. Parking was also easy, thanks to the staff's assistance in finding a spot right next to the entrance. Overall, I recommend this hotel for its excellent location, good amenities, and outstanding service. The rooms are nice, although a bit old, which is expected given the building’s historic nature, but they are more than adequate for a short stay.
