Pompei Gryllus

Absolutely amazing!!! Our flight was delayed for a long time, but she was incredibly sweet and prepared everything so we could self-check in very late. We stayed for almost a week and had a car — there was plenty of parking space available. My son loved playing with the kids' games in the garden, and the room was super cozy, spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The location is perfect if you have a car! We were able to explore something different each day within about an hour’s drive, like spending a day in Naples, another on the Amalfi Coast, and of course visiting Pompeii, which is only about 20 minutes away by car. Honestly, there’s not much to say. The only things that could be improved are the kitchen — it’s quite basic, so if you’re planning to cook full meals, it might be a bit tricky — and the shower, as the water pressure was quite low. But that might just be typical for a small town!

Nice villa, away from the big traffic. There are a lot of parking spots for your car. The room is clean, quiet, and with easy access. There is also a garden with a patio table that you can use.

If you intend to focus on exploring the region of Naples (Amalfi, Vesuvius, Naples, Pompeii City Center, Salerno, etc.), this is ideal accommodation to stay for people who have a car. The room was clean and comfortable, the garden was nice, the host was nice, and there were free parking spots available. This is a great location for people who have a car. However, for those without a car and who are dependent on public transport, it may become a hassle to reach the location of the nearest train station is a 10–15 minutes walk from the nearest train station. Regardless, I still think the walk is doable, but it may become exhausted with a lot of luggage or after a long day. Moreover, a minor is also the fact that there was no tea or coffee machine. Regardless, I still think this accommodation was very nice to stay.

- It was clean and fresh - There was a free parking places in front of the property - The garden and the backyard were very pleasant. If the weather is good, it is a pleasant place to relax with a Campari cocktail - The distance to the center of Pompei is 15 min by foot - the checkin was a bit of a adventure. There is only one small printed sign stick to a place where it is really hard to see, saying "Call number..... Do not ring the other doors". There was nobody around. We rang on a door and some old man got out. He called someone and after few minutes he gave us the keys - the room is with very basic furniture and it is dark - The HIGHLIGHT of the stay was the LACK OF HOT WATER. The hot water runs just for 3 minutes and then disappears. We tried to communicate the probltm with the property owner. He played it as if he is very surprised and aked me if I am turning the handle of the water to the hot side :-D but reading the other comments it is an old issue with the water. However, come and go for three days we did not get a chance to take normal shower.

Stay here made me feel like home

Lovely quiet little place away from the city center. Beautiful garden and friendly staff. If you don't have a car, it's a bit of a walk from the train station and ruins.
