i liked how it was two floors that was kinda cool, we kind of had a messy room and they came in and cleaned up the beds with no problem the shower head holder was broken but i mean you could just shower holding it, also one of the windows did not open properly

I stayed during some very hot days, and my room was extremely hot. There was no AC, and when I turned on the fan, it only blew hot air. I also couldn't shower properly because the shower space was too small. Last but not least, the Wi-Fi didn't work during my stay. I asked the staff, and she said there was a problem with the Wi-Fi. It was terrible being stuck in a steaming hot room without internet access.

WiFi did not work and when I complained they said we cant help you even though other guests complained too.

It wasn’t clear at all that Hotel de France was a “secondary location” across the street from the main hotel with smaller beds and much older decor. The manager however was wonderful and upgraded us to a much nicer room in the main building for a bit more money

Location was great! Close to everything, which was nice. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Loved having joined rooms where the kids could be on one side, and the parents could be in the other. Would stay here again! The doorknobs was super squeaky, everyone woke up if one person had to use the bathroom.

For those who don’t want to rush Mont St.Michel in a day trip from Paris, this is an affordable option compared to staying in Mont St.Michel village. Great location, right opposite from train station and bus stop. But when I went, bus to/from St.Michel run only between 9am-6pm. That gave me only a few more hours more than day trippers, but still good. Room was quite small but nice. Major disappointment was the unstable wifi, sometimes doesn’t work. Expect better from a hotel.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The blanket was cosy although there was no heating. Nothing at this price range.
-
- Right next to the train station - Clean room - Big bed - Very slow wifi, disconnects often or connects to the phone without providing internet access
-
Nothing No-one on reception and the door was open, building work was in progress, the pavement outside the entrance was broken up and uneven, the bedroom and the bedding looked dirty . We arranged a change of hotel.

Not much. Not much to like... basic , dated, room up in the rafters. No kettle , just a bed ,hangers and a bathroom with a wonky broken glass shelf over the sink.. .. only stayed overnight thankfully.. now worth 67 euros.

the room is a bit small nothing

Refused to stay in this hotel. Absolutely refused point blank to stay in hotel de france. Couldn't believe when approaching. All shutters down. It looked so neglected, scruffy uninviting. A notice on the door advised guests to check in at the hotel across the road. Fortunately the hotel Arain said they could accommodate us for the evening. Which I was happy to pay. Hotel Arain was basic but clean. Not an inviting hotel.

Very cheap and close location to train station Shower faculties need updating and repaired. Also the construction and location to main road leaves a lot of noise due to recent construction but that will change.

Very convenient to get to Mont St Michel

The staf was very nice. But the air in the room was like it was not very often ventilated. The air was thick. And we booked a family room - but the room what we got was not for 4 people - we got the room with a starcaise and the upper part was so tiny and small even for children. The best years were like 20years ago for this hotel.

The rooms are old, but cozy. Clean. Power sockets, they were kinda weird, you couldn’t just put the plug in, you had to kinda rotate it or something like that, I don really know how it worked out.
