I wish the cart were available for on the property transportation Need a better restaurant

I liked that it was close to the beach/river which is kept clean together with the rooms/ surroundings. Central location to other activities. The staff were friendly, example the booking staff, lifeguards and grounds staff. We were told that breakfast was available at the restaurant near the beach however when we got there, the facility was very very run down and even had a bad smell. There was no breakfast available really unless u call ahead for them to specially prepare. Also if u would like to have late lunch/dinner, it’s non existent in the property either. Several guests had to be dinning in other neighboring inns or establishment daily. The rooms are a bit on the older side and could do with a few upgrades. E.g. the shower area. However overall the rooms were clean though, I must say. The suite was not conducive to enjoy the surrounding nature as compared to the standard rooms. They were ground floor and the outside area did not even have a seating area to relax outdoors and take in the fresh air/surroundings whereas the standard rooms had the upper floor/view with a patio and chairs. (Something to note) Although the suite did come with a living room area as compared to the standard. I guess that’s the trade off ??♀️

Everything. Walk to the beach I liked everything

The ambiance was wonderful. Going to bed and waking up to the waves crashing on the rocks were peaceful. It’s pretty private and quiet…. The overview of the island’s northeastern coast is breathtaking. Also, looooove the villa’s structure
-
The scenery from the bedroom and how clean the property was and the ambience. The availability of meals, for example, breakfast and dinner. Also the availability of having to do a tour of the estate.

Old and outdated. Shower was a step down and it was clogged. NO ONE TOLD ME THERE WAS NO WIFI UNTIL I ARRIVED AND WANTED TO LOG IN TO WORK. I DIDN’T LIKE THAT AT ALL.

Frenchman Cove needs to be updated. It is very possible to renovate and still retain a midcentury modern deco theme. The closet doors and drawers are hard to open and dusty, the bathrooms need updating(toilets and tiles) while functional, it is obvious maintenance is minimal. I love the sliding doors that did work. Amazing space but definitely needs sprucing.

Liked the beach and location The villas are outdated and require maintenance, the doors are discolored and yellowing the toilets all had brown rings in them. I rented a 4br villa and a room at the great house, we decided to all bunk in the villa because the room at the great house was terrible. There great house looked desolate and uninhabited the door to enter the room was damaged and everything was old as If nothing has ever been changed since it’s inception. Also disappointed that villa guest had to rent beach lounge chair

The stay was unsatisfactory due to the poor condition of the room, which was mouldy. I would recommend this to anyone. The location is exceptional, but I do not recommend this to anyone.
-
The grounds, beach and river. The sea view. Entrance to the property. Rooms need a face lift. Wall skirtings were messy from floor painting. Sliding doors did not work as they could not open.
-
It's the best beach on the island. The beach restaurant is wonderful.

The view that this resort has is amazing! The staff is always so nice. This was actually my second time staying here at Frenchmans Cove in Jamaica. I booked this stay for my lover/ex Shamar and boy did we have a time! :) looking forward to my next stay. Murdock from your onsite security needs more training in customer service!

Beautiful resort with one of the best beaches in Portland. There are large landscaped lawns that are set against lush fauna across the property. This is a nature lover’s paradise. While the buildings on the property are dated, they are not maintained properly. Tiles are falling off walls, beautiful wood panels are rotting, paint peeling and fixtures are broken.

Disappointing
-
The beach, landscape, stone wall Needs more improvement with rooms, doors, bathroom drainage, cleaning the slide doors
-
Beautiful location and landscape The facility and fixtures were very dated. Could also use some fresh paint. The upholstery in and out of the rooms could be washed. Very disappointing

One of the most beautiful properties in Jamaica

I loved the location and the property. It was simply relaxing and close enough to Port Antonio to get needed items. I think their kitchen needs to be upgraded to a full kitchenette with modern amenities and esp a full functioning stove. This is so that guest can adequately cook for themselves rather than to pay extra cash again to order food, esp. when u have kids and there needs to be more cooking. I also think a laundry combo set could be added esp for persons who are on an extended stay.

Location is excellent The property is a bit rundown and could use renovation
