Springhill Suites By Marriott Kalamazoo Portage

I enjoyed my stay excellent staff breakfast was delicious! Bed was very comfortable slept well room was clean I will stay every time I visit Kalamazoo and anywhere I travel if there’s a Spring Hill Suites in the area I will make a reservation

Great stay

Had a great suite - very nice and comfortable beds. Bar staff were great and the bar/breakfast area was well appointed. Loved the gas fireplaces out on the private patio lounge. Breakfast was more than expected (full hot breakfast) and all staff welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!! 10/10

Wonderful stay. Beautiful hotel and helpful staff.

There was no mini fridge in the room. We called about the thermostat saying it's low on battery and stopped working while rhe room was freezing and the employee that answered said it's a very complicated job and he will send someone when they can. Nobody came.

noise level. We were placed on the 4th floor facing the highway. The hotel was nowhere near full and has a quite wooded area in the rear. It was a sleepless night. Why place the few guest in the noisiest rooms rather than the quiet side of the building? Also, the linens were not Marriott standard (pilled sheets, thin, rough towels. This was a disappointment.

Very clean, up to date room. The water pressure for the shower was amazing. Large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body soap provided in shower. Nice big TV and the ability to connect my Netflix and other accounts. The breakfast included is great. Kind staff. I can tell they work hard. The mattress was almost too soft for me. I felt like I was sinking and my back wasn't great in the morning, but that is just my preference.

I liked the clean and comfortable feel . I did not like being put in a room that was occupied originally, very uncomfortable to walk in our assigned room to find someone's things. I secured my door after that, just in case they gave someone my new room . I understand things happen but nevertheless it made us feel uneasy

Excellent overall atmosphere throughout the property, from the outdoor fire pit to the bar and room— everything was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was a little uneven, with being out of milk for 20 minutes, but still passable.

The property was nice. It was nice and clean in the entryway and all of that our room had dried coffee under the coffee maker. It wasn’t stocked with coffee. They might’ve just gotten in a hurry. The cleanliness of our room could’ve been better

Every thinking was great. Will be staying there again.

Disappointed that the hot tub was not working

The staff were very helpful and happy. Upon arrival, the individual at check in gave all the helpful information about the building. Very family friendly and a great price.

Clean and very nice room and bathroom. Shower was fantastic. Loved my room. First and the most important thing! The damn door. What in the heck were you people thinking putting a 100 pound door on with that hinge thing that makes the door slam!? Thats all I heard all night long!!! Until 1am I heard kids yelling and running as well as slamming their door or letting their door slam. Hearing car doors slam all night long. The air conditioner would kick on and it was soooo loud we thought someone was coming through the window. Then the ceiling kept blinking a white light all night long. Fire hazard thing in the ceiling. I dont know why but it blinked all night long. The stay was so bad I was checked out by 730am. No one cared to ask why I was leaving so early.

The room was lovely and the bathroom was spotless.

There were a lot of children in the hotel which deterred us from using the pool and hot tub and made the breakfast area a little chaotic, but the hotel kept up well. Breakfast had individual spinach egg quiches, biscuits and gravy, and the typical toast offerings and waffle iron. The staff were very nice and were working hard. Overall happy with the stay.
