A real gem! The space is bright and airy with lots of nooks and places to hang out. The roof patio and the living room balcony both with their views af the storks are like wildlife viewing platforms. The kitchen is fabulous with all you need to cook incredible meals from fresh ingredients at the market just a few blocks away. Very clean and superb showers. Rooms are well-laid out. Location is great. I loved this place! I wish I booked more days.

Great rooftop terrace, and comfy area, lots of free food basics, good kitchen, rustic charm in a town centre setting. The landlady recognised me from an overnight visit 3 years ago. There was only one other guest that night, and he ignored me. I didn’t sleep well, despite a 4-bed room to myself. I didn't feel there to have been much general maintenance done since I was last there, so my rating is lower than previous, but I would still recommend.

Very clean and comfortable. I travelled in December and stayed in a private room. Great location. Nice rooftop terrace to enjoy the morning coffee. The kitchen is well equipped.

I liked: friendly staff, location, clean and comfortable room, nice relaxation areas (balcony, roof), availability of necessary dishes in the kitchen. There was not hairdryer in the bathroom

Very nice hostel well situated in the center of portimao , the hosts were lovely and open to any request or recommendations. Very clean and well equipped, highly recommended. Obrigada ? Nothing !!

Apart from the father, who is not the friendliest, the mother and daughter are accommodating and keep the place clean, apart from the kitchen, which is somewhat neglected. Had an unfortunate encounter with one of the guests while staying there, a homeless alcoholic who is staying there long term. When he became abusive and I complained, they sided with him. Whether because he's local or they were afraid of him, I don't know. But he was not the only long-term guest there who was drinking too much and being disruptive, making me wonder whether they were running a guest house or a homeless shelter.

It is such a difference to stay in a hostel run by a family. I really appreciated the warm, friendly space and the care of the family running the place. The place is located so central and near to restaurants, river, and just 30 min walk to the beach, 15 min walk to the train station. The rooms have air conditioning. There is a roof top with both soffas and table. Super clean and tidy. I warmly recommend. The fridge was smelly.

Very friendly Bathroom/ shower and fridge could be cleaner. Check in not immediately possible- you have to call and wait until somebody arrives.
