La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Portland DT/Maine Med

We were very pleased with our recent stay. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed. Housekeeping services were prompt and thorough throughout our visit. The amenities provided greatly enhanced our experience. We would gladly recommend this establishment to others.

They need to change the way they advertise transportation to the airport. It’s on a limited basis. Early morning travelers have to find alternative ways to get to the airport. Somewhat inconvenient.

They advertise shuttle to the airport, but that is only during daytime. If you have an early flight there is no shuttle. And if you arrive late there is no shuttle.

I would never stay in this hotel again. We paid incredibly high per night rates due to a last minute family emergency which had our son in the ICU. It's high season so we had no choice which we can accept but for what we paid the experience was terrible. It's also an insult that beyond the high per night cost they charge $10 per night parking. Musty smell in common areas. Bathtub would not drain properly. The hotel franchise property owners need to step up their game.

Clean, pleasant hotel with a helpful lovely staff. Location isn't perfect for Old Port sightseeing as it's about a 40 minute walk, but, the hotel itself is great.

The shower was clean, but the toilet had urine all around the back hinges. When you close the seat cover you could see it. The bathroom floor also needed a good sweeping. It was a peak weekend so the room was very pricey and they charged for parking on top of it all. Would I stay here again. No.

Perfect for a short stay and close to things if you don't mind a moderate walk. Pool was surprisingly nice for motel in Maine.

New, Clean rooms a little on the out skirts of the "hot spots", but for the price, worth it. The pool is nice and their breakfast is a great bonus. I contacted the property prior to arrival as I had several bookings and we were all coming at different times. They were very helpful in setting up staggered check in. Also this is a pet friendly hotel. For me that is a bonus to others it may not be. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.
