Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo

The hotel was not clean, there were ants in the floor, the bed sheets and towels were not clean. The check out was at 10:30am which I never experienced in any other hotel. Each one of the staff gave us different messages about our inquiries. The breakfast wasn’t clean, flies were all on and around the bread and croissants.

Super close to City center and has an amazing swimming pool and private beach. There was even a singer at the swimming pool at sunset which was amazing. The hotel is huge so it wasn’t easy to find the gym and reception. More signs would have helped.

The cleaning lady and the women working at the bar were incredibly kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the reception staff seemed very stressed, especially the night manager, Lucca. I asked at the front desk if they could call a taxi for us to go to and return from a party. Lucca said they could only arrange a taxi for the trip there, and that we would have to find our own transportation for the return. I understood and agreed. Lucca then told us he would call the taxi for the outbound trip and asked us to wait in the lobby. At that moment, he said to his colleague in Italian, “This little girl thinks I’m a taxi driver.” I pretended not to hear because I didn’t want to ruin my evening. We waited in the lobby for about 30 minutes. When I asked Lucca if the taxi driver had given an estimated arrival time, he simply replied, “No one is coming. You won’t be able to get a taxi at this hour.” I asked why he had left us waiting for half an hour if he had never called a taxi, and he answered, “I’m very busy.” I then booked an Uber, and it arrived in less than 10 minutes. I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel employee as I was by the night manager, Lucca. When the service is this bad, it ruins the entire stay.

Small rooms, needs renovation, expensive stay should be upgraded.

The location, The Room View and the DJs!!! The beach club is amazing. The beds could use updating and more pillows but it is ok for Europe!

The property was beautiful. Overlooked the sea. Walking distance to two restaurants half a mile. Daily breakfast was delicious. Bed was a little hard for my taste

The location and the beach The room is not ready, the phone was broken and they said it will take a week to fix. Also, house keeping not available all time, if they will clean the room always the door left unlocked.

The only okay thing was that the hotel has beach access. The staff was rude and had no clue at the front desk , hotel was run down and not worth the price. Beds weren’t comfortable and the pool was not as pictured.

Everything! The room we were assigned had a most fantastic view of the pool and the bay next to the hotel! The staff were very nice, and the servers at the pool bar were really nice! Lunch at the pool was so tasty. The beach is a short walk down the hill, and the bay is so clear with soft sandy bottom! It was off season, so a bit cool, but not so crowded. Breakfast was good also. It was our third trip to Sardegna, and this was by far the best Resort! 2 nice restaurants just a few minutes away in Porto Cervo, and you do need a car to get around. Parking was easy! Sadly, the lovely pool was very cold!!

Great service, great food and beautiful property. The maitre d’ at the restaurant was especially accommodating to us during a fixed menu dinner event- we did not have reservations and we were not aware of the fixed meal plan for that evening. As we were not hungry for a full meal, he arranged for us to share a single fixed meal plan between two people (we were two couples). Wonderful experience at this hotel. Thank you! Nothing

The hotel is just amazing. It was so beautiful. Location is great. People were great. Giovanni was fantastic !!!! The room with sea view is just wonderful. I loved it. One of the workers at the restaurant was not very nice.

Great location. Close to town and beach. Beautiful grounds. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Rooms pretty clean. Beds are hard and uncomfortable, pillows flat, hard, uncomfortable. The AC was right over my bed and it really bothered me at night. Seems like an odd place for ac hotel is quite old and seriously needs update, especially bathrooms. A lot of mold around

Location was good , with easy access to a nice beach. The Beach Club Restaurant at the hotel initially refused to allow us to charge our lunch to our room. Only after some discussion did they reluctantly agree. The beach club manager was unfriendly, repeatedly moving us from our chairs, claiming they were reserved, even though they often remained unoccupied. When we mentioned that we had booked through the reception, the manager dismissively responded, "I’m the boss here." Overall, it was a highly unpleasant experience.

An unforgettable stay at Gran Hotel Porto Cervo! I recently stayed at the Gran Hotel Porto Cervo to celebrate my 50th birthday with family and friends, and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Special mention to Francoise, who went above and beyond to make our stay the most memorable—it truly wouldn’t have been the same without her kindness and attention to detail. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, offering plenty of variety to start each day. My room was spotless, comfortable, and far from “dated” as I had read in some other reviews. In fact, everything felt fresh, well-maintained, and inviting. The views from the property were simply exceptional—absolutely breathtaking and unforgettable. The location is perfect, close to all services, shopping, and restaurants. Rooms were cleaned daily, beds changed, and fresh towels provided every day, which we greatly appreciated. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Porto Cervo. It’s the kind of place that stays in your heart long after you leave. We all had a fantastic experience and will cherish the memories forever. The only small downside was that the doors weren’t soundproof, so we could hear other guests passing by at night.

Clean. Nice pool You definitely need a car here. Not much in walking distance. Beach was a hike and costly for lounge and umbrella. I would say it’s over rated and extremely overpriced I would not return
