It was not directly in the centre though it was only a 15 minute walk to the metro and was quiet at night which was appreciated.

Great staff and accommodations! Also very clean and the back patio is available for anyone to use.

The extra comforter in the room had a weird smell to it. And, around 2300 one of the male hostel staff came into our female dorm to show a guest to their room, which took me by surprise. I think next time it would be better for the male staff not to come into the room or at least knock before doing so.

I really enjoyed my stay at By Doors Hostel. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and giving great local tips. The place has a cozy, homey vibe with stylish decor and a clean, well-kept environment. The location is perfect—within walking distance to all the main spots in Porto, but still tucked away enough to feel quiet and relaxed. The common areas are great for meeting other travelers, and the small touches like fresh coffee and comfy beds really made a difference. Would definitely stay again! The only downside was that the rooms could get a bit warm at night, especially if the windows were closed. Also, while the shared bathrooms were generally clean, they could get a little busy during peak times. Nothing major, but just something to keep in mind.

The people in charge are exceptional. Very clean facility in a good part of the city. Value for money is great.

Reception excellent

It was closed from where I needed to go, it was a very clean place and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The shower sprinkler should be improved.
-
There is no inside common area to hang out, only the garden in back so if it’s raining you have to stay in the room. The mattresses were very poor quality so did not give sufficient back support to sleep well.
-
Easy acess The way they aproached me in the morning in regards to city tax. Also noise during the night

Nowhere was mentiond that kitchen can be used only from 8am onwards. The staff refused when I requested to use the kitchen to have breakfast before the marathon. Very disappointing.
