Great location and staff

Hotel is old and some things could use renovation (especially flooring in cafeteria) but it was all clean :)

The room was cosy and comfortable The staffs wasn’t very friendly. No eggs at breakfast.

Very dated.

Convenient location to stores, stores and restaurants. The walls between the room appeared to carry noise too well, especially the water running noise.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower also had great water pressure. Some upgrades would be really nice. For one, the blowdryer in the bathroom appears to be from 1972, it was so strange and feeble, barely blew lukewarm air. The carpet in the hallway was all covered with bleach stains, but no carpet in the rooms, so bring slippers! There was no extra blanket and the split on the wall was pretty old and really didn't keep the room warm. Also the staff, while not rude or anything, were barely alive - didn't look up when you spoke with them, didn't say hello or good morning/afternoon (very un-Portuguese!) and not very friendly.
-
The friendliness of the employee who was serving breakfast. The hotel is in desperate need of repairs. Not only to be modernized but also to correct things, which in my opinion are unacceptable (leaks, humidity, mold smell...) Breakfast very plaint, without variety.

The building has seen better days. Not every room has a fridge. Wardrobe is very basic, there were no shelves, and occasionally smelled of urine - probably the sewage pipe is leaking somewhere in the wall. There are no mosquito nets installed, caught 7 in just one night. Make sure your first trip is to the nearest supermarket to buy some repellent, you won't sleep through the night without it. Staff is friendly, even if they don't understand you, receptionists were a little distant though.
