Holiday Inn Express Porto City Center by IHG

I liked the 24 hour desk and the breakfast being included. The breakfast is really tasty and had much variety.

Breakfast selection was better than expected. Location is great. Decent valyue. Rooms in need a some minor wall paint and repair (shower head). Chair cushion and carpet should be cleaned. Staff could be more friendly.

Excellent location with a friendly personal service. We had a couple of maintenance issues with air conditioning and room electricity but they were eventually solved with thanks.

The staff was friendly, the location is in the shopping center The lighting in the entrance should be better The breakfast can be more various. There is no fridge in the room.

Breakfast need more fruits

The hotel is located in a central area of the city, making it easy to explore most of the main attractions on foot without needing a car. The breakfast was ok and offered a satisfactory selection. There is also a paid parking facility just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, which cost €35 for 48 hours. There was no safe box or fridge in the room, and basic toiletries such as a toothbrush were only provided upon request. The view from the room was also disappointing.

Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, very helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet. Luggage storage available, and they kept our luggage while we were traveling until we returned for rebooking at the same hotel. Convenient location with easy access from the airport by Metro. Nearby supermarket, and restaurants. It was all good

Excellent location within walking distance of the Bolhao metro station, which permits access to airport via Metro line E. Nearby supermarket in shopping center. Twin beds were comfortable, A/C worked well and clean bathroom. Very good breakfast. They were able to store our luggage Queen beds in other rooms which are 60 inches wide, so we preferred the second night with choice of 2 twin beds

Location was perfect, hotel was very clean and nice and the breakfast was very good and fresh. I would stay here again but I would heavily caution those who book this hotel to be careful if the staff offer to take your bags... this is code that they will stick you in a bad room accessible only by stairs where you feel boxed in to a basement like atmosphere. I credit the woman who checked us in for agreeing to give us another room or we would have had to leave. The gentleman who escorted us lied and said the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. There are what looks like four rooms on this half floor on the street level where you can't open your curtains for privacy concerns and it is dark. We went back to the desk and the other staff member (who looked worried when she gave us the keys and said her colleague would help us to our room) agreed to move us to another floor. The guy who lied and was smug should be fired.
