Hotel Alcyon Porto Vecchio

I was very disappointed with my stay. The room was extremely noisy, with constant thumping and banging sounds that seemed to come from neighboring rooms and/or the floor above. The noise continued late into the night and started again very early in the morning, making it difficult to sleep after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The hotel has only one elevator, which was very slow and often inconvenient, especially in the morning. In addition, the booking information stated that parking was available, but when I arrived the hotel parking was full. I had to park elsewhere and pay for very expensive parking. Overall, I had a very poor night's sleep and did not feel the hotel met my expectations

The location was excellent and the staff exceptional. I made an error on my booking and they corrected it without a problem. No pool

Great location

Lovely small hotel, set uphill from the harbour and port. Clean and comfortable with a rooftop bar and views over Porto Vecchio and the bay. A short uphill walk to 'old town' with an array of restaurants, cafés and bars on the main square and in the many little streets. With secure paid parking available, a 2 minute walk, behind the hotel.

Not much stuff was rude, didn't care about our concerns. Location is close to center but not as advertised in the center. Maybe 5 min walk. Tiny rooms the shower probably fits a 12yr old child but not an adult. Upon entering the room there was a strong smell of mold inside the room. The window faces a Rockwall so the room has no daylight or view at all. There was stuff and garbage left from the previous client in the closets. Do yourself a favor and book another hotel....

Clean, classy, comfy accomodation next to old town. Friendly and professional staff. it was OK really

The location was good for walking to the old town. A shuttle bus does a loop around the town/harbour and stops nearby. The room was fresh and clean, staff were helpful and the tapas restaurant was nice. The parking was pretty ghastly. First up, when you arrive, you can't see anywhere to stop - we did two loops around in the pouring rain, then eventually parked in a public car park and walked. Apparently there are two coned-off spaces in front of the hotel for checking in, but they're not obvious (especially if there's a van parked there!). It would have been helpful to tell guests about these two spaces before they arrive. The hotel car park is 200-300 metres from the hotel. We got the directions, arrived at the location, and couldn't work out where it was. I had to get out the car and talk to some people, who confirmed that the sheer drop (so steep we'd mistaken it for steps) was the entrance. There are two levels, and the top one fills up, so chances are you need to go down twice, then make a sharp turn. Everything is just too tight, given that you're braking on the way down, and accelerating on the way up - at the top there's a wall to avoid, which could easily have been a metre shorter and saved some pain. We only had a small car (C-cross) but I'd have hated to try it in a full-size car.

The view from the breakfast room and terrace. The initial reception was very competent. The €15 per day parking was expensive and largely unnecessary as free street parking behind the hotel was available and much easier to access.

Great location in Porto Vecchio about 5-10 mins walk from the Citadel. Parking available at hotel for €15 or there is a car park right opposite that’s very convenient. The hotel was super clean and staff great. As mentioned by other travellers we had a room at the back and they are very small. The shower was small and narrow so be aware. Breakfast on the roof was excellent with lots of choice and a lovely view over the sea and Citadel . Small room / shower

Great view for breakfast and for an aperitivo in the evening. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, and nice bathroom. Breakfast a bit overpriced for 19€/pp, but the view was compensating. There was a slight smell of humidity in the room.

Bonifacio was beautiful as well as the beaches Too expensive for a normal average hotel, room small and no bidet

Location The Small Room option was incredibly cramped, with barely enough space to move, and the showers seemed designed for someone very petite. Parking was a nightmare – the hotel's designated spots were a block away, incredibly tight, and overpriced. Street parking might be a better option to consider.
