The property is right in the middle of Portree. A really great location. The staff were excellent. While the cooked portion of breakfast was great, the continental portion was simply store bought muffins and pastries. Disappointing.

Good location, Thomas was very friendly and had some good recommendations. Had lots of snacks and options for breakfast. Water pressure was hit and miss in the mornings.

The staff here were amazing. I felt right at home immediately! The breakfast is cooked to order and delicious! The staff is so kind, one of the mornings my fiance and I got up before breakfast time to hike and they gave us a whole bag full of breakfast and snacks for the day. The room was tidy and had all the essentials. The building is old and so are the rooms, but very well taken care of. The location is perfectly placed downtown Portree to walk to any of the restaurants, bar and shops. We also never had any trouble parking our rental car in the back. It is a small parking lot, but we always found a spot, but maybe we got lucky!

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-kept, with a cozy charm that fits the character of Skye. After a long day exploring the island’s dramatic landscapes, it’s a great place to unwind.

Great home base for exploring Skye for a few days. Staff are so lovely and the hotel breakfast was delicious.

The staff at The Caledonian are wonderful! We were well cared for from minutes before we arrived (because we were unsure where to park, so called and got excellent instructions) until the moment we left. The breakfast was wonderful, with diverse options that were all delicious. The location was also ideal. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of Portree. It took us 2 minutes to walk to dinner one night and 1 minute the next. No exaggeration! This is minor, and very specific to our middle aged bodies, but the pillows were too firm for us. That’s it, the sum total of what we didn’t like. And I’m sure that if we’d asked, they would have provided different pillows.

My sister and I absolutely loved the staff. They were wonderful! Room was great! We very much enjoyed our breakfast that we had and it was a good location for walking around. Water pressure in shower could have been a little better but it was fine all the same.

Breakfast was great. Staff went above and beyond to wait for us to check in late when our plane was late. He stayed till almost midnight for us

The place was hard to find. The address given was not correct. I am not sure who to blame, the hotel or booking.com. All it said was Wentworth Street, Portree, no door number anything. booking.com is not going to be in my favorites list any more as I did not have a great experience with them alone this time. The staff was very good. The person who greeted us knew the place very well and helped us go to all the places in a short time but cover everythiing.

Excellent location in the very city center, close to shops, restaurants and bars. Simple but confortable room. Good breakfast

The breakfast far exceeded my expectations! The staff was exceptional at providing this service. The room was exceptionally warm. We packed our own fan, but had we not, the heat would have been unmanageable.

Breakfast was great, facilities and location were great. The parking was a little tricky to find but their directions were helpful.
