Very inviting and comfortable. It was close to everything.

Very nice hotel that looks like a bed-and-breakfast. Conveniently located just a couple minute walk to the main downtown area with tons of restaurants and shops. Everything is walkable. Free parking in back of hotel. Nice continental breakfast. Nice rooms in the lobby area to hang out, play games or just chill. Nice basement bar and pool table. Very quiet. Nice backyard patio area with cushioned chairs and tables. Room was nice, but I do have a few comments. The bathroom was narrow and small and there were no shelves or vanity for me to put my toiletries on. Shower was nice, bathroom was newly tiled and very clean and modern, but narrow & not pleasant maneuvering in and out. The room was also an odd design with a dormer/slanted wall/ceiling on one side, but I guess that’s because it used to be an old house. There was a chandelier at the foot of the bed and anyone over 5’10 would probably hit their head on every time they walked by. There is a nice sitting area, but it would’ve been nice if it pointed towards the TV but because of the layout of the room that was impossible. I was disappointed that there was not a mini fridge in the room. It was nice that there was a charger for you to plug in your cell phone and other devices with USB and USB-C on the nightstands. Overall a good value for what we paid nice clean modern looking room with an Airbnb kind of style. Steph, was friendly and helpful. I couldn’t get my network to work on the TV and they came up immediately to fix.

A wonderful property in a great location, just a couple blocks from the heart of downtown Portsmouth.

The hotel was awesome. Loved the bar and pool table in the lower level. Great location - close to downtown and the river. Staff was awesome as well.

The AC in our assigned room was nonfunctional during a heat wave. The staff agreed it was not working and immediately moved us to the room next door (a larger room at no additional charge). We were very happy with the quick response, location is very close to event venues like Jimmy’s and restaurants. On-site parking was a big benefit. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options from bakery goods, fruit, cereals, and yogurt for example. Enjoyed our stay.

The window AC unit was positioned directly beside the bed and blew onto our faces while sleeping. The mattresses felt like lumpy, worn-out memory foam, and the shower had only a handheld spray attachment. The staff was pleasant but hands-off and not very engaged. On the upside: The location is convenient, the bedding and shower were clean, and the hotel itself was quiet and calm. They also offered a nice complimentary breakfast spread. The property has a lot of charm and potential, and with more attention to maintenance and guest comfort, I’d be willing to give it another try.

Loved the hotel. The bar was inadequate. The bartender did not have available basic ingredients for martinis or manhattan. No fresh garnishes. Pre-made cocktails were unfortunately the go to at the bar. The property itself had a lot of character.

This hotel is cozy and cute, every room has been designed to perfection. The staff is friendly and they provide a nice breakfast that feels like being at home! The suites are large and well equipped, the bed was well made and comfortable. The bathrooms are completely remodeled with nice and large showers. We enjoyed our stay here and were able to explore the town without having to drive around but the included parking is a real bonus.

Very convenient to the attractions in portsmouth

Check-in was quick and easy. The lady was super friendly. The "European" breakfast was fabulous! Hard boiled eggs, meats, pastries- sweer and savory, all kinds of fresh fruits, overnight oatmeal, and so much more!

We liked the vintage character of the hotel, very cozy, unique, and quiet. The bathroom was upgraded and new, so the bed. The room was big and comfortable and everything was clean. We appreciated that we could open the window. Parking was in the back of the building and easily accessible. Breakfast was included and there was a variety of choices from bagels to dairy products and fruits. All in all, a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

What a great find…well appointed with nice touches everywhere. Excellent staff and breakfast. Well worth it and a bit off the main downtown area which is awesome. No noise and a small 0.5 mile walk
-
The biggest positive was location as we could walk downtown Portsmouth, which was lovely.

This is a unique little hotel in a very good location in Portsmouth. The room was a bit pricey, but nicely appointed, aside from the fact that it lacked a refrigerator. A European style, continental breakfast was include.
