It was a beautiful property and only steps away from the Palace. Rooms were comfortable and quaint. Front desk were very helpful! Breakfast was good. Although the rooms were quaint, here’s some VERY PERTINENT information that I wish we would have known a head of time. If you’re on the 3rd floor, expect to walk up, there’s no elevator and additionally the Hotel is at the top of the hill and breakfast even further. We definitely burned up the calories we ate. The room was quaint however the shower/tub combo is not made for older people or bigger people. This was the toughest part of our trip. There’s no curtain or glass enclosure. Water will get everywhere. It’s a handheld shower and the tub is so long and narrow my feet hardly could maneuver. I was so afraid of falling and:or slipping. Getting in and out was a challenge too, since the tub wall is so high. Breakfast was good but every time we went, they were out of fruit. Breakfast was served at a different location from where we were staying.

We had an amazing set of historic gorgeous rooms for us and our adult son for our Christmas stay in Prague: 2 huge bedrooms, connected by a hallway, with a connecting bathroom for the first and a bathroom and wc in the hall for the second. The first bedroom also had a small sitting room which could be used for another bedroom, if needed. The heat worked well, and we had a coffee machine and a minibar refrigerator, which we could use for our smaller items, also. The reception at the Golden Star Hotel, a 1 minute walk up the street, was staffed with efficient, pleasant people. There is also a fantastic restaurant in the Golden Star where we had a delicious Christmas Eve dinner and another wonderful meal our last evening, with incomparable table service. The location is fantastic, just below the Prague Castle, and a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Old Center across the St. Charles bridge. We could walk everywhere from the hotel. We would definitely recommend the Red Lion Hotel, and if we return to Prague, we will book it again. Old World charm in a beautiful location.

Lovely location and perfect for walking to many historical sites and tourist attractions. Clean, quiet, and wonderful service. The reception was in a different hotel up the street. Only a minor inconvenience.

Location is within steps to Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral, two of our favorite sights to visit. Also pretty close to Petrin Tower and many good places to eat. Although not in the heart of Old Town, we felt like that was a plus. And if you're using public transportation, it's a short walk to many buses, trams, and trains. The breakfast, while it had a decent selection of items, was pretty much the same each day so it became a bit boring. There are some cafes just down the street that are super tasty, so I'd recommend eating there once but then exploring the other options nearby.

Superb

Very comfy bed and location, and staff very friendly. As I said, check in and check out staff were friendly, but we didn’t see any staff after checking in and the bathroom was quite basic and small.

Great location, beautifully clean and superb breakfast. This was an exceptional place to stay, and full of character. We stayed with friends (we were two couples) and booked the family suite on the top floor. We each had our own bedrooms, and the bathroom was accessible through a small landing between our rooms. Only downside is it is a bit of a hike up several flights of stairs to the family suite. But we knew that from the hotel info when booking.

I liled everything. The location was great, breakfast had a lot of choices. The rooms were very clean and warm. I loved the interiors, it looked very thought through. Personell was very nice too. I loved it all!
