I liked the price for the location near Prague center. I liked that the owner of the.apartment was providing me with instructions how to get into the apartment while informing me that he would not be there to greet me. He apologized that I have to bring my suitcase to the third floor myself since there is no elevator. The owner of the apartment was trying his best to communicate in English but was glad when I said that we can communicate in Czech as I am a.Czech born citizen. Just about everything could have been better. The box where I was suppose to pick up my keys fell apart when I was opening it, so I took took the set of second keys with me hesitant to leave them in the hole on the wall facing the street. I dragged my large suitcase to the third floor without elevator by myself. The place was not exactly friendly. The fridge in the shared kitchen stung so I didn't want to put my food there. I could not log into a wifi and didn't find towels. So I left the apartment and went straight to a nearest hotel which i passed on my way to the hostel, "Hotel 1st Republic" down the street. There I booked a room immediately. That stay was worth every penny! I would stay there again in a heartbeat anytime. I went back to the hostel to return the keys and to pickup my luggage. I met two Hungarian men trying to get into the building. The younger one spoke English so I was able to instruct them in English and let them in. There was a man in the apartment who spoke no English (not the owner) to show us around the apartment so I was interpreting for them. Then I took my luggage and left. Every since then I am trying to find out how to get a refund for my prepaid stay, which in fact did not materialized, due to my intant dislike and disappointment of the place. As a thrifty Czech citizen I was not looking for a luxury but this was little substandard even for my taste. Plus I wouldn't feel comfortable to share an apartment with two unknown Hungarian men.

Could be cleaner. The property is very old and worn.

The bed, when I moved in was smelly

its good for a hostal standard. everything is over-used including kitchen equipment, but this is fair for a low-cost hostal room. host was super helpful, room was OK, and good for a short one-night stay

Room heater not enough

The location is great and quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep. The host was very kind and allowed an earlier check-in. The pricing is very reasonable. The furniture is a little bit worn out, but okay for a short stay.

Location is quite good - 15-20 minutes walk from main railway station, 10 minutes for metro station and Karlova Square. Room is spacious. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The kitchen has all the necessary tableware, a stove, an electric kettle, and a refrigerator. Administrator Petr was very helpful. It was quite cold in room (we stayed in mid-April).

i arrived late night and the owner came to help me Even though it was after midnight, the room was very spacious, and the bed was comfy. I had a little hiccup with the heater before i figured it out, but it was powerful and heated the room quickly. no lift was on the on the third floor, and with bags, it was little exercise ;)

Petr was really kind with us, top guy that let us pay next day as we arrived post-check in. Room was like 10 minutes away from train station and it was comfy enough to be there, it was also really centrical, we didn’t need to pick up any tram to move around the city.
