Great location !

Nothing really

Pool was very nice, staff accommodating with issue - air conditioning. Room smelled strongly of cleaning fluid, bottom of toilet had a grey puddle, towel provided was very frayed around edges.

The directions to the place were wrong. They were to an old location, it has moved. We spent about 2 hours trying to find the place and it was very late by the time we got there.
-
It is close to the main beach, Puerto Escondido The room, was just a basic room with beds and a bathroom. There was no small fridge. The hotel in general needs a lot of maintenance.

Beds old and unclean

Facility looks very old Shower was dirty A/C was ok but leaking water Only one elevator working No phone in the room Remote didn't work

The pool and restaurant views were excellent. My son and I enjoyed our little stay there. The place is very clean, and there are bathrooms everywhere. We felt very good in our room that, despite it wasn't ocean view we still have a chance to see it. Also, we could leave our luggage and enjoy the facilities before we checked in, as we arrived earlier than 3 pm. The staff in the restaurant is very friendly and prices are fair. We climbed stairs when we came up to the main entrance (lobby) from the main avenue or street or boulevard, but we found our way, a shortcut to enter from the parking lot.

This is a very nice property that needs lots of maintenance. The pool area was descent, the water was a little dirty, the lounge chairs were dirty didn’t even want to lay on them. The bar area was also a little dirty, the bathrooms were leaking water from the toilet and the mirrors were very stained. Our room was very spacious and clean. Beds were ok, nice abundant water in the shower, there was no tv channels but 4 asked reception and they said they were installing cable and the process was not complete so we couldn’t see anything else, our curtain was torn and lots of light came in the room at night when sleeping. The ocean view was beautiful, the staff were ok and there was plenty of parking on the property.

Liked the views of the ocean from the pool, room and restaurant. It needed some work. Torn curtains not just in our room but others. Front desk people were not friendly or nice. Room did not have a phone, drinking cups, tissues, toilet was institutional style not tank type, decorative lights outside on balcony stayed on all night and curtains were not blackout type, pool area needed to be cleaned/swept more frequently and elevator closest to room never worked so had to walk down long hall for another elevator.

It’s very big and with very good parking My bathroom had a big mold spot and the sink drain was broken, so water would take a while to drain.

The view was lovely and the pool was nice. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The room was very dirty!!

When we checked in we were given two horrible rooms which look out to the street. I asked that the rooms be switched to Ocean front rooms and the hotel agreed. The hotel only provided 3 bottles of water upon check-in and none on the following 3 days. One cannot drink tap water in Mexico so this is unacceptable. The hotel should provide free drinking water. The wi-fi did not work in our rooms at all during our stay, when we told the staff they stated that the hotel had many groups and that for this reason the Wi-fi did not work in any of the two rooms, this is unacceptable, wi-fi should work in the entire hotel and we were paying for that service. Neither of the two rooms had a fridge minibar, which in this day and age is unacceptable. The room bathrooms have plumbing behind the toilet, a screened area which connected to the room next door, we heard the guests in the bathroom and their tv. When housekeeping made up our room they neglected to replace the hand towel. For the price we paid breakfast should have been included. On the one day we had breakfast at the hotel only the fruit and yogurt was good. The hotel charges 250 pesos for breakfast per person which is rather high. The coffee was weak. The wooden pool chairs had no cushions and the chairs were hard. Hotel Caracol is a horrible hotel which I would not recommend. Wi-fi did not work, no fridge/ mini bar in room, no drinking water provided by the hotel. We could hear the next door guests through a screened bathroom vent that should be cemented closed. One has an expectation of privacy.

Away from key points, I paid for breakfast but then got there . They said I didn't . Water to charge more.

i don’t like anything from this hotel

I liked the pools, specially because it has one for my little one. It was as clean as I was specking.

The location was good, and descent pool Staff is rude, cleaning staff were not able to do the bare minimum of cleaning, faucets had no control on water pressure, floors were dirty, walls falling apart and termite everywhere Restaurant overpriced and took way too long, 1 hr for food! We had no choice since it was raining to hard to go anywhere

Is affordable and the staff is friendly. Room was clean and big enough. When we arrived the room was ready. Dirty pool Towels in bad condition (they look old) They don’t offer more experiences with them. The location is not the best as is not ideal to walk to the beach and back. Is quite far.
