Playa Manzanillo

Wonderful family running hotel. Very basic, that is what I expected but clean and perfect location of maybe 5-10 minute walk to Manzanillo beach. I had a room with no air conditioning but the fan was excellent. The little wade pools were nice when getting back from walking anywhere in the heat for a quick cool down. Very central to everything, 10 min walk to Rinconada or to the night market area and many little restaurants nearby. Safe location and easy access to taxis even though not a major road. The sunsets at the end of the road were stunning.

Was just what I wanted. Cute little clean, well kept place near the beach and places to go where I could also sit and read by the pool. The owners are nice and didnt mind my crappy Spanish not being up to the task. Its was just what I wanted.

Very clean rooms and very comfortable beds! Hot shower. Windows covered with mosquito netting so you could let in a breeze, but there is also a fan. Another big plus was the proximity/walking distance to the ADO station and Playa Principal (dolphin watching tours) in one direction as well as several other smaller beaches in the other direction. n/a

The wifi can be better and just missed a coffee machine.

No place to put hanging clothes. No desk or chair in the room. The small pool didn't have any lounge chairs.

Pretty quiet, charming facilities. Far from the noise. Very kind and helpful staff! The pool is a nice amenity! The beds' mattresses! They're worn out and need to be replaced.

Amazingly friendly and welcoming. A nice pool area and seating area. Hot shower. Room cleaning was offered daily. A 15 min walk from everywhere. Great value for money. All in all super hosts. I will return. Nothing to comment about here. Couldn't have been better.

The property was exceptionally clean! My room was cleaned every day, which I appreciate immensely. The hotel is owned by a wonderful family, all of whom were kind, helpful, and friendly. The room was comfortable and cool; I didn’t need AC, the fan was more than enough and the shutters kept the room cool if I left them closed when I went out during the day. The location was good for me because it’s close to the Rinconada area and close to the beach (8-20 minute walk depending on which beach you go to). It might be more difficult for older people because you have to walk downhill to get to the beaches in this area and then back uphill when leaving. The shower pressure in my room was not quite as strong as I would have liked, though it wasn’t bad, especially compared to some other accommodations in Puerto Escondido. Also, the wifi can be pretty slow sometimes so if you’re working online it would be better to go to a co-working cafe with Starlink.

Although the hotel is not particularly luxurious, it is very clean and very cost-effective and Warmth. The owners are also very patient and helpful which is very important It would be great if every room had air conditioning by default
