Hotel Careyes Puerto Escondido

Good location between downtown and the main strip with tourist services. Easy walks to at least three beaches. Rooms well appointed and equipped Pool really too small to be useful except for kids

Good location with walking distance to the best beaches. The room was a little smelly and the water pressure was very bad.

24 hour check in and the beds were ok. It was clean and the air conditioning was great. It was unwelcoming. The front desk man was rude, unfriendly. The woman who was at the front desk was nice, but the first impression was unpleasant. The pool was closed. Yuck

Rooms, clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, pool, friendly and helpful staff. Everything was great.

Second time staying here, with a lapse of 2.5 years in between visits. The hotel was exactly as we remembered it! Which we were happy about. Air conditioning worked well. Internet worked well. Swimming pool is small but enjoyable. In our opinion, this is the best neighborhood of Puerto Escondido. Near to the best swimming beaches. Near to good restaurants and the market. Everything you will need is not far and easily to find. We will return! The water pressure is terrible, which makes showering a challenge.

The rooms were very comfortable. I liked the table with mirrors. The A/C worked very well. the room and lounge areas are very clean and comfortable. The wifi was strong and consistent.

There were some roaches in the bathroom

small pool was nice to cool off. we stayed in the unit that had a kitchen but it was not well furnished. staff were friendly the location is okay to walk to shops, but maybe not the beach.

They had gathering places on each floor where we could get together and visit. The pool area had a lovely garden and the staff was very helpful. Although the pool was small, it was great for a dip after a day at the beach. The problem was the steps to enter were too small so it felt dangerous going in and out— I needed a hand both ways.

Cheap hotel, good location, not too far from the nearest beach, nice communal areas,. Rooms small, staff not the friendliest didn't help with luggage and made me go back to the room to get the remotes even though they could have done this themselves. Pool very small. Pebbles in shower floor are very uncomfortable

the decor was lovely and the stuff is really helpful and try to accommodate as possible. the area was also good however you really need a car to get to places in Puerto. the size of the room was also excellent with one having a kitchenette and functioning air conditioning. there was basically an almost non- existent shower hose however the gentle receptionist changed it for us and so we were able to have a shower. the air conditioning didn’t work in our room so it was very hot however we managed to sleep. don’t expect a 4 star treatment however this is a lovely hotel and they do try their best.

This is a good location and beautiful hotel. The water pressure was horrible and the water was usually cold. The towels were also stained and the shower could have been cleaned better. I would recommend bringing shower shoes.
