staff was wonderful! The man at the front desk was super helpful. We had to come here emergently at midnight bc we had issues with our other accomodations. The staff were super helpful and kind.
-
Rooftop pool, cocktails by the pool, views from the rooftop, another lower level pool, spacious room, and comfy bed. Hotel facade and reception area slightly dated, a short walk away from amenities.

Thank you for the attention Everything was perfect

Fridge in room would be nice. Bar at pool area only open intermittently and hours not posted.
-
Location and rooftop pool. Staff was great! No bar fridge in room.
-
I wish that on each floor there were a location to fill the water bottles instead of only in the lobby.
-
Rooftop pool, spacious rooms, clean No vibe. Could hear the people above us.
-
Would have been nice to have a coffee machine and a small fridge in the room.

They went in to my room and took money.

Great staff, clean, quiet property with secure parking

Staff were excellent and very helpful, suggesting local services. Location is great particularly if you or anyone in your party has trouble walking as it is on the beach. Most other hotels are located on top of the steep hill and its a walk up and down to get to the beach. Some roads are not paved. Elevator was broken when we got there, but fixed the following day. They have filtered water to refill water bottles. Rooms are very clean and AC works great! There was no gas initially when we arrived over the new year holiday therefore there was no hot water and the hotel restaurant wasn't able to cook anything. So we loaded up on yummy guacamole and chips and fruit bowls when pool side. The gas was delivered the following day and we were able to take hot showers and order from the full menu. I appreciated that they gave us food and beverage vouchers for the day without gas.

Our son was sick & we had a fantastic concierge pediatrician come to us. The receptionist was rude & on a power trip with her & us. Otherwise, the rest of the staff was great.

The roof pool had a nice sunset view. They provided pool and beach towels. Due to a bad stay elsewhere we were forced to book this motel like accommodation last minute and it cost the same as the rosewood mandarina. It was clean, but this is a 3 star pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the onsite restaurant was not very good. Meh.

Clean , location is pretty good , nice staff No gym, pool is not open later at night, no fridge in the room, umbrellas and lounge chairs closer to the ocean would be a nice addition

Clean, had two pools, the one on the fourth floor overlooking the ocean was our favourite. Air condiioner worked great. We got an ocean view room which was nice. Wifi was decent too. No fridges in the room so you couldn’t have cold drinks. Puerto Escondido is oppressively humid so a mini fridge would really help. Our shower curtain would billow out if we turned on the water full blast right at the beginning of our shower. The curtain would not keep the water in the shower so we had several large spills/miniature floods. Lastly, the shower head in our shower probably needs replacing.

Nice hotel , with 2 pools and nice balcony. Large room and large bathroom. Very clean and quiet. Hotel has a parking. And umbrellas with lounge chair right on the beach. Right on the beach but not so close to restaurants etc. good thing we had a car.

The rooftop pool with a view is truly a unique feature in Zicatela The booking description of the room is misleading. And it’s clear that the staff is aware but doesn’t care. I booked a room that said “sea view” thinking it was the rooms in front with a direct sea view - so was surprised to be given a room with only had a partial view. When I raised the issue I was told there were no other available rooms (which clearly wasn’t true). You would also expect some level of service for the price but there really is not much offered other than 24 hour front desk and parking. I’ve stayed at this hotel before in the apartments but will not be doing so again and would no longer recommend it. There are many other options near by that are a better value and are not trying to trick you with the room descriptions.

The hot water took forever to get warm. They scammed us out of 100 pesos when we left because they said we cracked the tissue cover, we never touched the item. The employees were cordial until we checked out. We will never stay there again and we will go out of our way to keep people away.
