Bungalows Santa Cruz

The location was amazing—just a short walk from the beach. The property features beautiful, authentic Mexican-Spanish architecture that adds to the charm of the experience. The rooms were very spacious, and the private pool was a great bonus. Being surrounded by nature made the setting feel peaceful and unique. The staff was responsive, friendly, and polite throughout our stay. The views were outstanding and made the entire experience even more memorable.

No breakfast provided On the website it stated that we could use the facilities next door at Hotel Sante Fe. Unfortunately, this was no longer the case.

The drain in the shower was a bit clogged so the draining was slower. If we were there longer would have brought it up to staff.

food was good The Wi-Fi signal The communication between administration and staff. The fact that my granddaughter forgot her little pillow (stuffed animal) there and I called three consecutive days to ask if they find it, without any luck, was something that disappointed very much my family, This pillow had important sentimental value for my granddaughter, and now is lost.

Swimming pool is nice Found lots of coackaraches and hair on sheets, so wasnt very clean

It was comfortable, attractive, well-cared for and beautifully located. The restaurant was excellent. I liked everything and would definitely return. Everything in the restaurant was wonderful except for a main course of slices of eggplant I had one night which was inedible. Otherwise the food and drink were exceptional.

Great restaurant, reasonable prices and the staff was awesome. Nothing that would be associated with the hotel. Lots of construction around but that’s not anything to do with the hotel. Nothing negative here.

Exceptional

We read some recent reviews of the Santa Cruz before booking our room that were very displeasing, yet the year before it had gotten great reviews, so we took a chance. The grounds are beautiful, stunning vegetation and shady, jungle-like feel which was a relief from the hot weather; the room was good for what we needed and we loved the balcony. This part of the beach is more authentic Mexico beach town, rather than the "Tulum-y" part down at the far end, self-conscious people out to be seen, which isn't our speed. Also, people complained about the noise from the road, but our bedrooms were in the back of the hotel, so we didn't hear the street noise. Many walkable amenities including good food and coffee, close to downtown Puerto Escondido which is great to explore and loaded with hundreds of good restaurants and beautiful sunsets across the street from the hotel. There is a big hotel under construction across the street, so the sounds from that are constant thoughout the day. That being said, this wasn't the fault of Santa Cruz and didn't bother us that much. (this kind of thing can happen anywhere and local businesses have to keep going).

Location and vibe. There is a rather large construction site just down the street. If they happen to be doing anything heavy, you were going to hear it during the day pretty loud.

Close to beach, great property and pools. Large suites with good layout, (Santa Cruz bungalow) restaurant with beach view. Chairs in room need cushions as they are not comfortable. Wish they supplied coffee filters for the coffee machine. I had coffee but was not going to buy a pack of filters for their specific coffee maker for a few days

Beautiful hotel with adjacent bungalows. Close to the best beach and adoquin and zicatela...lots of restaurant choices within an easy walk. Hotel restaurant is fabulous for food and ambience, overlooking the beach The expanding popularity of Puerto Escondido has brought much more traffic. The road to Zicatela beach is one way for traffic.The bungalows are located at a curve of this road...the noise from the cars and motos is non stop for many hours each day. Fortunately there are many quieter areas within the hotel compound that mitigate most of the noise. The bedroom of the bungalow is located at the back of each unit and is also quiet...as long as you shut the windows to sleep. The hotel and bungalows are a fairly quiet oasis in the midst of a popular area.

Great location close to beach and restaurants Aircon could be a little better

We stayed in one of the bungalows. Simple, clean, and very spacious. Less expensive than the adjoining hotel, yet we were permitted to use the entire property, pools, restaurant, and terrace. Great location with wonderful views from the restaurant and terrace overlooking the beach and ocean. Wifi in bungalows not strong, but excellent access from terrace and restaurant.

Great location, we had the bungalow with 2 rooms. Bedroom had airco. Great shower! Beds were a bit hard for me ?
