We really enjoyed this little gem of a hotel. It is not beach front but the beach is only a short distance away and the rooftop pool area gave us excellent views of the ocean. Our rooms were fairly basic but nevertheless comfortable. What we loved was the rooftop area—the pool is lovely and the hammocks were a huge hit. We were thrilled that the rooftop had a bar and that the bartender made excellent drinks (both mocktails and cocktails). It’s also nice that the bar has a bar menu so we could order snacks along with our beverages. The hotel is on a street off the main highway so it is not particularly walkable (except to the beach which is just a short walk away). We also had issues one day with hot water and, on another day, with the loss electricity. The electricity loss was not the hotel’s fault and the staff was immediately responsive to our concerns. The only other issue we had was that the drain in our bathroom smelled of sewer.

In the morning you could hear when people are having a conversation outside the room , the room didn't have a TV

I liked the sense of being in a place where I could really rest. Personnel in general were very helpful, I liked specially the bar tender Vladimir. Having a tv could help. And maybe having some snacks at the bar.

Charming, comfortable, and clean. The rooftop patio and pool are heavenly, with a spectacular view and a very talented bartender. Cocktails here a must try. The management and front desk staff are very courteous and go out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast in the hotel dining room is scrumptious. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach and good beachfront seafood restaurants. Wifi and mobile service is a bit slow, but that might be a common problem in this part of Mexico. The hotel might also consider improving security systems and processes.

The rooftop pool was a total vibe and amazing food and staff service Basic facilities, simple room, cold shower, no fridge in room
-
The smell of sewage. We understand this happens with most ocean front hotels but holy the mornings were bad.
-
Great staff, rooftop bar and pool was nice. Authentic feel Quite noisy for a hotel with older clients. Sounds is amplified by the courtyard. Walls seemed super thin. We could hear our neighbors conversations. Shower took forever to heat up.

Charming vibe and a wonderful staff. Nothing
-
Near to the beach, bay and the little downtown. It wasn’t clean at all, there were details inside that make the room look very old and rusty. So simple and uncomfortable.
-
Pillows were uncomfortable. Noise from street.
-
Looked pretty in the pictures and it looked close to the beach. No TV, uncomfortable beds, lack of towels, noisy in the morning with staff cleaning etc.
-
It’s beautiful here, the building, the view, the set up, all very attractive.
-
The pool on the roof and the shade/ breeze are perfect in the afternoon. Beautiful view of ocean and sometimes whales. Lots of cold hot water Limited parking

Hotel Flor de Maria is in a lovely, traditonally styled building with a good ocean view, deck and pool. The rooms are simple but nicely decorated. The staff is extremely friendly, warm and helpful. The restaurant offered good, home-cooked breakfasts. The air conditoning worked well in both of the rooms that we had. Taxis requested by the hotel always arrived quickly and ontime The shower in our original room was backed up by beach sand but the staff quickly moved us to a better room where everything worked well. The internet via wifi cut in and out.
