JB Design Hotel Haeundae

We loved all the amenities and the layout of our beautiful room. We had one of the corner rooms with a wonderful wet bath, completely separated from the storage area and from the toilet. Very unique room with a nice view. I love the coffee and water bottles available anytime. The laundry was a good bonus as well.  breakfast was phenomenal. For a fully renovated hotel, the finishings are not very well done. The spacers in the tiles have been left in for example. You can tell there will be future mold in the grout and the water pools in interesting ways in the wet bath.

The staff were very friendly and helpful (on the rare occasions that I saw them. Beach was lovely. The general area was nice, though some of the alleys did have a strong, unpleasant sewage smell... The free water and ice cups, the microwave, and the hot water dispensers were all very nice after a long day out. There was also a relatively nice view from the hotel room we were in (10th floor). The cleanliness of the room was horrendous. There was a weird mark on the full length mirror as well as a random red splatter mark on the wall next to it (no idea what it was). The couch in the room had definitely never been cleaned as I wiped it with 3 wet wipes and it was STILL coming up dirty. When we first entered the room there was mess/dust on the desk, the first and second towels (hand/floor towels) I grabbed were stained, and the third had a hole in it. We only had one body/shower towel in the room even though it was booked for two people and had to ask for another. The shower floor looked like it was covered in mould and the wall tile had some hair on it. Sometimes after turning the shower water off there was a faint sewage smell which was not pleasant to say the least. The toilet door had a lock but physically couldn't even close to the point of locking, so the door was always open when using the toilet. An acquaintance of mine was also staying at the hotel at the same time as me and had a very similar story to tell, even saying that the shower flooded the entire bathroom floor when they used it so everything was always wet.

Great location and large room The staff have zero customer service skills. They don’t even smile when you walk in. And there is no where to put your clothes. Huge room and no shelves or anything

Excellent location. It was close to a metro station and walking distance to beach, restaurants and Dongbaekseom Island. Staff is very friendly, laundry is free and they have free coffee and water bottles. Loved this hotel and the price was decent. They also provided complimentary umbrella’s when it was raining so that was nice. Rooms are nice too. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Gym was ok, I never could get the stationary bike to work so that was annoying. Gym does not have wipes to wipe down equipment. There was no door to bathroom sink and bathtub so that was also annoying… especially when staying in the room with others. Breakfast was meh. It was same thing everyday and was just ok. They do have ramen station so that was nice. Price for breakfast was very good. Despite the few annoyances stated here, we really liked this hotel and would stay here again.

The location great cause it was close to the Haeundae Market and Beach. I had paid for early check in and was initially given a room that looked like it was occupied and dirty. Luckily no one was in the room when we had walked in. Second room we got didn’t have the trash taken out. The shower didn’t no have a cover so water easily got from the shower to the counter top.

* Location; * Breakfast; Overall, the cleanliness was pretty bad. There was a footprint from someone else in the room. The charger plug was almost destroyed. The bathroom had no curtain, so the floor was always wet after a shower. Some plates in the restaurant were poorly cleaned.

Everything was exactly as promised. The room was fantastic and everything we wanted. Perfect 5 stars (5/5). And the staff we met have the brightest smiles to help us start our day. The facility and all the employees were amazing to us. The hotel is very popular with groups of tourists from Thailand and Korea. The convenient breakfast buffet (top floor) is very good, very good price, and gets very busy (full dining room!) because the high quality and delicious food. We highly recommend you eat the buffet because most restaurants in this neighborhood are not open for breakfast, but only for lunch, dinner, and late-night parties and drinking. Highly recommended! My room was absolutely filthy. Oily hand prints on the mirrors, food crumbs on the floor, and moldy looking grout in the shower area. I requested room cleaning daily in hopes it would get cleaned properly, but only bed sheets and towels were replaced.

It could’ve been a bit cleaner—there was water damage and other things in the room that needed to be fixed/redone.

I loved that the hotel offered streaming services like Disney+ and Netflix — such a nice touch for relaxing after a long day! The location was perfect, close to trains and plenty of great food options. The free laundry service was a big plus, and the staff were absolutely the best!

We had two of the same rooms, they were nothing alike. One smelt heavily of cigarettes. No amount of airing the room helped. The other room was great. They both had different size fridges.

The towels smell like cockroach but the room doesn’t seem to have any insects. Maybe it’s from their storage but towels smell very bad.

Either they didn't choose to reply to a query or they never saw it.
