The wifi was terrible and our room had no connection

A great location that can be a reasonable alternative to an airport hotel when you have an early flight the next day with a rental car return but would prefer to stay somewhere a little more interesting. We took one of the rooms with a view on the Forth rail bridge to make a nice end to our trip. The room was basic but comfortable and it was great to have the view of this historic bridge. The evening food and drink was decent and I appreciated having a good beer in a pint glass with a handle. (It is worth noting that the rumble of the passing trains is fairly regular, which given we were there for that view was fine, and frankly it's muted and not particularly disturbing anyway, but it's important to be aware of). The bathroom was good and modern, but the ceiling is quite low, and the shower cubicle is raised up, presumably to allow room for the drainage pipes under the shower base. My wife could just about stand upright in the shower, but I had to stand with a stoop, which I wasn't particularly bothered about for one night, but some other travellers of taller stature could find this to be awkward.

Large spacious room. Large bathroom and shower. Excellent restaurant!! with nice large outdoor eating area! Friendly staff. Great view. Lots of parking. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again! Getting to it is a little tricky if you are driving but it's nothing that can be helped. It has existed since the 1600s and the area has changed a bit.

Close your airport and cool to be under the Firth of Forth Bridge

The location was perfect for me. I was walking the John Muir way and this place was right on the route. Close to shopping and restaurants. I was a bit confused on how to check out. My room only had access from the back side of the building. When I went to return the key, the front door was locked. So, I had to go back around to my room, and leave the key in the room.

Cute location. Good food. The rooms we were given was not what we had expected. Placed us in the Annex where one part was basement like.

The location was great, the room and building were very charming and well appointed. Great night sleep even on the sofa bed. A lot of stairs with heavy suitcases. The staff were friendly but a little standoffish. The restaurant food was good but lacked the magic I would expect from such an impressive place.

It was a good view and nice. The bartender where you go to check in had an attitude. Was rude from when we arrived and even came back for dinner. Wait staff was excellent.

The noise.

Its history. The old pub is cool, as is its proximity to the harbor and rail bridge. Breakfast was great. If a place allows pets, it should invest in good carpet cleaner.

Most things were okay. The room was large, clean & tidy. We ordered a Pizza for dinner, it was below average, and the night staff were not very helpful. The breakfast was great, and the lady at breakfast was very helpful. We enjoyed the location, but be aware of the trains overhead during the night; they are noisy.

Cute little town and the Inn is old and charming. Lots of warrens and narrow doors to get to the room. Absolutely NO wifi the whole time we were there. Staff just said they have wifi that comes and goes. They don’t know why. Our room was overlooking the bay which was lovely however the street noise was extremely loud and went late into the night. Motorcycles, cars and jetskis were racing up the road/water until late. Floors were really sloping which could make it unsafe.

Love the atmosphere of this inn. Was great to sit and have drinks. Dinner was nice. Our view of the water was great. The family room was enormous and we enjoyed the design. Nice hot shower. Big parking lot for guests. Beds were extremely firm, so a memory foam top would have gone a long way in helping with comfort. Would prefer a second bed instead of sofa sleeper seeing there was so much space to fit it. Road is slightly noisy with a biker bar nearby. A bit far to get luggage from back parking lot around to the entrance.

Breakfast poor Bacon was brick hard ,Could not eat it ?

Would not let us change dates although we asked months in advance, so we were out $---. While some of the staff (server at dinner, kitchen staff) were wonderful, a few (at check-in, and in response to a concern via email) were abrupt and unwelcoming.

Friendly staff, easy check in, fabulous food, and fun to walk around the area. Appreciated the dark out curtains in the room too. Nothing we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Right on the waterfront - close to the airport Trains going by

Didn't realize how close it would be to the train bridge. Was a bit loud as a result. Staff was nice but everything was a bit slow.
