Excellent location, spacious rooms Unfortunately the hot water wasn’t adequate during our stay, luke warm at best. WIFI and internet reception patchy. Unable to access apps on TV

It's a nice place Breakfast was cold, coming out of the kitchen cold. Breakfast staff were not the most helpful. Hot water wasn't working and was unable to use bathroom through our stay. Unable to use spa as it is booked by the hour, closes at 9pm and doesn't open until after checkout the next day.

Location and view Very tired. Terrible bathroom - shower over bath. Spider nests above curtains and hair in shower

Sadly we found this hotel very poor. The view from the hotel is fabulous, but otherwise, there was nothing to be pleased with. Lack of care: - defective shower drainage, poorly made bed, corridors not cleaned properly, discarded food on restaurant floor, crumbs on lounge seating, - the list goes on. Not acceptable at this price point.

Has a nice garden area, looks manicured. The facility is run down in some parts, but no faults.

Love that it was so close to town, and we had a lake view. Very clean and comfortable Shower pressure and the lay out of the building was a bit tricky to figure out

Beautiful lakefront property. Able to combine 2 tour nights with 1 extended night on my reservation in the same room. Crowded breakfast area with all the tour groups.

The VIEW was stupendous, and I loved having a garden room that looked out on both a lovely garden and the lake and mountain. The bed was divine, and I slept great. The bathtub was deep and I got to soak all my stiffness away. The location made it easy to go everywhere I needed on foot. The continental breakfast was fantastic. Most of the staff seemed to genuinely care about offering kind hospitality. I had a bad experience with room service from the restaurant. The food was only so-so, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was that the dessert menu described the "Opera" as having "layered chocolate cake." I ordered it and took a bite and there was a very strong taste of coffee, to which I'm allergic. I was sad, because it was so beautiful! I called the restaurant and asked if there was coffee in the dessert. The woman said she would go ask the chef. When she came back, she said, yes, it has coffee. I asked if they would take half of the charge for the dessert off of my bill, since I had ordered it believing there would only be chocolate. She said, in a very snippy tone, that everyone knows that an Opera has coffee in it, that's what it is, and if I Googled it that's what I would find out. Well, first of all, if that was the case, why did she herself have to ask the chef? Second, "everyone" does not know what is in any given chef's interpretation of any given dessert, that's why we depend on the menu to tell us what's in it. Finally, her tone and her words seemed designed to make me feel in the wrong, so that I would give in and not continue asking for a partial refund. This is not good hospitality. Good hospitality says, first and foremost, "Oh no, are you all right?" After ascertaining I was ok after tasting something to which I'm allergic, good hospitality would say, "I am so sorry the menu wasn't completely clear. How can we make it right?" Good hospitality would offer to remove the whole charge or send a different dessert. Good hospitality cares about the wellbeing of the guest. What if the allergy I have to coffee caused anaphylactic shock? Luckily it doesn't, it just gives me heart arrhythmia, but that's bad enough. Sometimes just a little taste is enough to trigger it. May I suggest that you clarify the description of the Opera on your menu?

The view of the lake and mountains from our room was stunning! Our room was a suite with a balcony, living room, dining table, huge king bedroom and two bathrooms. It was amazing! I honestly can't think of anything to improve upon.

CONFUSING LABELLING TO ROOMS EG BLOCK 2 LEVEL 3 MADE THINGS DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE BUILDING IS OLD RESTAURANT OVERRATED AND TOO DEAR FOR ITS QUALITY STAFF UNHELPFUL AND DONT APPEAR MOTIVATED

  • Engine customer Nov 2025

The location is very good. It was easy to get to town by walk The rooms are old and bad equipped. The bed and bedding were old, the mattress extra soft. My back suffered greatly. The cleanliness was really bad, the carpet old and unclean, rubbish under the bed, the bathroom poorly prepared and scrubbed. Without asking, they just decided not to make the room. Lastly, the breakfast was really poor. Terrible coffee, bad selection of fruits.
