I like the room, it's bigger than I expected, price value. All the facilities and everything in the room is good. The mirror which I can do my makeup easily. And noise protection, it's so chill and peaceful with the heater as well However, there is no Wifi can be connected from my room, which is a big minus point. ........................................................................................................................

We stayed in the private room, there is a bed and one small bed side table and a wardrobe. It would be better if another bedside table or desk were there.

The building has no noise barrier. The noise resonates through the whole building. Especially if your room is located under the community room.

my room's door lock needs a little work but once you figure it out, you'll be good!

Location was amazing in the downtown core. It is not your standard hotel /accommodation, but I loved it. It is a little unique gem, the building is a bit old and if you look for luxury, this is not for you, but it had all I needed and it was clean. The view from the large window was fantastic with the mountain and a little city brook with a walking path and bridge. This is an affordable , out-of-standard and ”cute” option to stay downtown if you are not picky about the color of the sheets. Parking was free on the street (public) overnight, but with pay after 8am. The address was a bit hard to find because the house numbers were not easy to see. (The building is a bit tucked away from the street between a couple of larger buildinds ).

Basic clean very good Super noisy - washing machine going on after 10pm - woke me up twice so at 1105pm I turned it off. There is no sign asking guests to be quiet time 10pm near washing machine. But there is a huge sign saying don’t use btw 10-2pm. Also using kitchen whizz noisy stuff after 19pm. I was in kea under kitchen. Access door wide open. Bad air flow. Room smaller than it looks online. Windows need a deep clean.

    Location - it was quite.

The manager was not there. A worker was there repairing the washer. No one told me the gondola was very close and I drove there in three minutes. There was no hot water.

Good location, just a short walk from the bus stop. Very clean. Loved the self check in as I got there late. Bathroom was a little cold.

24 hour reception and breakfast buffet. Hot tub felt amazing after a long day. Stay out of trouble… if you can Great hospitality, better maintenance crew. The wine flows like water. The floor is so clean I ate a 3 course meal off it

Great little gem in the heart of Queenstown. I would definitely stay here again! More toilets would be helpful

Centrally located & affordable. Good for a short stay. The rundown exterior belies comfy & well-catered amenities - rare to find a classic hostel structure like this in Queenstown CBD. Could have more aeration in the room, the keypad for the rooms could be disturbing during the night (although acknowledge this is in place for security). There is a little walk (across a small, quaint bridge) to access the hostel - could be cumbersome at night / for those with excessive luggage

Central location was perfect-near the InterCity bus drop, restaurants & trailhead to Ben Lomond. The kitchen was adequately stocked. Checkin info was complete. Quiet. Clean bathrooms/showers. All-in-all, it was a good choice for us. We found the main entrance door unlocked/open a few times. The rear basement fire door was also ajar (which we closed). Also, despite ample signage telling guests to keep the kitchen/sink/stove area clean, we found this area a real mess one morning. We left notes near each mess, telling the guests who stayed there that this was unacceptable! Perhaps the lack of staff presence contributed to these negatives?

Where was the staff? Never saw them. Signage is poor and other guests need to explain how things work. Cleaner works hard but facilities are run down.

    No ladder for upper bed

Shower didn’t drain - had to manually unplug the clug ourselves. Found a couple large hairballs in our bed (gross). Information regarding parking would have been helpful, thought it was free in several spots in a lot across the street but turns out it was 10min parking only. Unable to connect to wifi, network did not appear. Heater difficult to figure out how to get it running.
