Hampton Inn & Suites Rapid City Rushmore

Good location. Room was clean. Breakfast needs to be better. We stayed at another Hampton the next night and breakfast quality and offering was much better.

First the pros. Clean room. Friendly staff. Very safe location in close proximity to nice restaurants, Wal mart & Sam’s. Now the cons. The shower soap was empty. The hallway reeked of elevator oil everyday. Finally, one day they didn’t even provide breakfast at all…they told guest to move to the TRU hotel that is attached…with a very limited breakfast & an undersized eating area. Unsure what happened here. Maybe the breakfast staff didn’t show up?? The only time i had ever stayed at a Hampton Inn with this ever happening. Thus, the reason this site doesn’t receive the 5 star rating that i have given other Hampton Inns. Overall a good stay. Would i stay here again? Of course.

I got a call from the front desk at 11 pm saying that another room complained about the noise from our room. Problem is we were all already in bed and they woke me up. The situation was not handled well by hotel staff. Our family didn’t feel comfortable even walking in our room at night after that for fear of being too loud.

Our night at the Hampton was great! The kids especially enjoyed the water slide:)

of most Hampton Inn's that I stay at. The staff, were good, the food was good ( lots of choices). hotel was clean. I had no problems at all.
