The Avenue Inn and Spa

It was an impromptu trip to the beach. We really enjoyed the room and its pool. Great time for my kids to burn off energy from being in the car. Loved the location. The cookies and milk feature was really cool and my kids enjoyed it. I really felt like this hotel was very family friendly. I would stay here again next time I go to the beach.

They no longer have coffee makers in the room if you're used to that. Could use a grab bar in the shower, and more towel bars.

Roaches. Stained towels and bed sheets. Disgusting. Checked out day early.

They seemed understaffed, even though it didn’t appear to be a busy week. A lot of times when going to the front desk, there was no one there. When I asked about checking labels for a food allergy, the responsible person could not be found. This was for a child with a life-threatening food allergy, so she couldn’t eat the food. The distance to the beach is great and the man who has run the shuttle for years and hoses the beach chairs down is so sweet and helpful. Other than the cleaning crew, he was the only pleasant person on staff. On a plus side, the lobby atmosphere is very well set up and welcoming. If you’re stuck in on a rainy day, they have games and warm tea out, which was really nice. Plus there’s milk and cookies for an hour at night. We always love that, even if we can’t catch it in time.

There was no trouble with the property however Expedia claimed we would get a partial ocean view. Instead we were given a view of the roof that did not see any ocean. We were very disappointed with Expedia

The property is really convenient, clean, and comfortable to stay in! Just a heads-up: if your room is in Avenue 2, you will hear a lot of constant street and bar noise. It gets really loud and makes it hard to fall asleep at night.

My only complaint was the noise from the drunken patrons of the bar next door. We stayed at the Avenue II, and almost every night around 1am, people were yelling and screaming outside the bar. I thought there was a noise ordinance preventing that. We’d stay here again but in the main hotel.

Plenty of toiletries & towels daily.

Love how close the beach is to the hotel. The breakfast is always delicious every morning. The wine and cheese is amazing! And not to mention the warm chocolate cookies at night When the beach vacation comes to the end:( Until next time!!!!

I’ve stayed many times in Rehoboth and this is by far the best hotel. It’s not right on the boardwalk but the amenities are top notch and the staff were very accommodating.

Close to the beach, beds were very comfortable. We stayed at the Avenue II so it was cheaper than the main hotel but we had access to all the amenities. No complaints

The breakfast was subpar (I've had better at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn many a time), the water pressure in the shower was kind of low, there is no outdoor pool, the sun deck next to the indoor pool is quite small and very loud (lots of noise from the industrial machines of the hotel and other buildings), the hot water in the lobby (for tea) is never quite hot enough, the lobby is not peaceful in the evening because they leave the door to the restaurant (The Blue Hen) open and there's always loud music blasting from in there, and the Wi-Fi in the room is not great, which means that it's sometimes hard to watch TV because the TV depends on Wi-Fi for its signal (especially if you're casting from your device, which is the only way to watch anything from apps like Netflix). Yes, they offer a couple of extras, but they were not impressive: cheap wine and grocery store-bought cheese and crackers during the wine and cheese hour in the evening and mediocre chocolate chip cookies during the milk and cookies hour before bed. I'd rather they spend the money making other things, like breakfast, higher quality. It's quite close to the boardwalk and the beach, so I suppose you're paying for location, but it's really not a resort, as advertised. It's basically the mom and pop version of a chain budget hotel, with an attached spa.

The property was excellent, from check in to check out. Very nice front desk staff, clean rooms, great location, wonderful complimentary breakfast.
