Idili Traditional House

The property is quite lovely, and Markos is a very generous, warm, and hospitable host! If you are looking for a small village experience, I highly recommend it!

We liked the location—near rethymno but not in it. Panormos is a village, right on the sea, picturesque and very walkable. Loved walking to the dock every morning. The apartment is one quarter of an old house, solid, quiet and private. Full daily breakfast, very hospitable host. We liked having breakfast with guests from other countries. No complaints. Bathroom typical for Greece, and clean. We even had free Netflix! Would stay here again.

The stay at Idili Panormas was very pleasant. Markos is a great host and made us feel welcome, even offering some nice treats during our stay. Breakfast was very good, and the garden and terrace were perfect for relaxing at midday. The apartment had one dark and a bit stuffy bedroom, but a fan was provided by Markos and it helped.

Our stay was simply fantastic! The breakfast truly stole the show – it was absolutely outstanding. The variety was impressive, the ingredients were fresh, and every detail was carefully thought out. It’s clear that quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities here. The attention to detail was remarkable. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. The Idilli was a home from home accommodation and we can recommend it for your holiday accommodation, Marco and Margarita treated us like family, with any requests supplied. The breakfasts were the best breakfasts with lots of choice of Magarita's great cooking . We will return there when our next Crete holiday happens . 10/10 top score. Nothing

The location is perfect! A couple minutes walk from all of the restaurants and shops, less than 10 minutes walk to the water, and yet very quiet and peaceful. Markos and his sister are warm, welcoming generous hosts! The breakfast is amazing!! The setting on the patio is so lovely! The substantial breakfast is rounded out with house made jams and fresh squeezed orange juice! There truly wasn't anything not to like about our stay.

We spent a week at Markos and his family traditional house apartment. Our stay was amazing. The house itself very traditional, having old Middle Ages look but with all the todays equipment. Apartments were very cozy and spacious, with amazing garden built by Markos family. Traditional breakfast everyday were different and very delicious. If you want to feel the real Greek hospitality, you must to stay at this property. Every day Markos were taking out rubbish from the apartments and asking how our children’s are feeling at his place. We had very nice conversations every day. He also loaned us diving masks for my children’s and umbrella for free and of course very nice greetings gift :) the property are not far away from Rethymno and many popular places to visit is around 1 hour road by car. If I could, I would give Idilli more than 5 stars! This was without a doubt the most perfect stay ever. Markus, the host, deserves a phenomenal 12/10 - and I am not even exaggerating. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home. The breakfast, prepared by Markus' lovely sister, also gets a well-deserved 12/10. Every morning we were spoiled with fresh, local delicacies. Every day it was a surprise what was on the menu but it was always soooo delicious. The stay itself? Also a 12/10. The rooms are spacious, cool, quiet and the beds are lovely. And then finally, I have to give Markus' restaurant tips a 12/10 as well. He knew exactly where to send us for delicious food and with super friendly service. The days we Markus and his sister were the best of the whole summer. A bit redundant to write here that we will definitely go back! Great, comfortable apartment with large balcony. We really enjoyed our stay in Idili, Panormos. Markos, the host was really friendly and supportive during our stay Air conditioning was quite poor - there was a machine in apartment but loud and not so effective

This was my fourth stay at the wonderful Idili tradional house, which speaks volumes. I love this beautiful house where one can relax in a lovely spacious apartment, on the large terrace, or in the beautiful garden. The very large, varied and delicious breakfast is served in a lovely covered area in the garden, and the family could not be more friendly and helpful. Idili is perfectly and quietly situated on the edge of this lovely peaceful village, but within very short walking distance of lovely tavernas and the sea. I cannot recommend Idili highly enough and will surely return next year, if not before. Nothing negative.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming small hotel in the quiet village of Panormos, Crete, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, our Markos made us feel incredibly welcome with his warm and genuine hospitality. Despite our initial hesitations about visiting Crete during peak season, Panormos proved to be a secluded and peaceful escape. The village is home to a lovely little sheltered beach, perfect for swimming and just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. There are plenty of delightful places to eat and drink nearby, making it easy to enjoy local cuisine. We really recommend going to Nikitas Bar for a drink and ice cream. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic, providing more than enough delicious food to keep us satisfied throughout the day. Our room was spacious, with a well-functioning air conditioning system, and the balcony was an ideal spot for relaxing after a day of exploring. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. We will always have fond memories of Markos, Idili, and the village of Panormos. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and welcoming stay in Crete.

In case of my return to Crete, I will definitely stay in this accommodation again.

Magnificent apartment with everything you need in a quiet location, 5 minutes to the sea. The kitchen is well equipped, the air conditioner works perfectly, the garbage is taken out every day, and the towels are changed every 2-3 days. Owner Marcos is a very kind, friendly and caring person. He has surrounded us with care and attention from the first minutes of our stay in the apartment. All the time I had the feeling that we came to visit close relatives, and they are trying their best to anticipate all our desires and needs. I highly recommend it to everyone, and I sincerely wish Marcus and his family prosperity! Nothing

A very quiet spot yet only minutes away from the bars, beaches and taverns. The host is excellent. The property has a great deal of old Crete charm coupled with the conveniences and amenities you expect today. Two very minor points: a microwave and the TV set up for English/ German/ French/ Greek guests (as appropriate).

The town was great, although we stayed at the very end of the off season, there were still a few things open - 2 supermarkets, bakery (YUM), the hair dresser and at least 2 of the restaurants. The small beach is very well protected. The host was very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and later had a nice get to know each other conversation, even though he was super busy preparing for the high season. The hosts sister looked after house keeping and left behind some home made snacks like cheese pie or Spanakopita. We stayed in the 'modern' room which was very big with a large terrace offering up good sea / town views. There are a few other more 'antique' type rooms that looked great too. The bed was 'ok' but could be more comfy. The heating and hot water were a little tricky, but wasn't a big issue. Driving in the town (basically just coming and going) and parking were a bit tight.

Our family enjoyed the vacation and accomodation at Idili house very much and will definitely consider coming back in the future, the appartments were quite large and spacious for our family members and also featured all the commodities needed for a comfortable stay, kitchen and all the utilities were provided and the unique representation and various meals for breakfast were a bonus. The owner was kind and helped us out with all the questions throughout our stay and gave us various helpful information on what to visit and what things to try out, such as various Greek traditional meals or drinks, locations to visit or board games to try out with our family. The appartments were clean and regularily taken care of. Also, the beach, market and local restaurants were nearby and accessible on foot. We definitely recommend the appartments for families and people who want to visit Crete and have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday

Idili is a traditional old house, full of character and history: attractive and comfortable, with a pretty garden where our host, Marcos, serves great breakfasts! The house is on a quiet street in the old village, just a few metres away from an excellent taverna and a few more down to the harbour and beaches. Marcos is a warm and friendly host and really could not have done more to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. In fact we have already decided to return.
