The hosts were really helpful and went above and beyond to assist and show what Rhodes has to offer and we could draw on their extensive local knowledge. Delicious breakfast and wonderful service, served in their lovely courtyard. When we had to leave earlier than breakfast service started, they prepared a takeaway pack for us which was also a great. selection of tasty items. No suggestions for improvements

My partner and I had the most amazing, romantic two days on Rhodes, and staying at Kokkini Porta Rossa made the experience truly unforgettable. This five-star hotel, run by a wonderful family, offers the best of both worlds: the refinement and comfort of a luxury hotel combined with the intimacy, warmth, and personal touch of a small family-run guesthouse. Nikos and his family, along with the entire hotel team, genuinely embody the Greek concept of filoxenia — a word that captures the spirit of heartfelt hospitality and the deep-rooted Greek tradition of treating guests as dear friends. From the moment we arrived, we felt not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. Nikos, the owner, has an impressive knowledge of the medieval city and personally helped us plan a two-day itinerary perfectly tailored to our interests and tastes. Our plans were beautifully organised and easily accessible through a custom web app provided by the hotel, which made exploring the old town effortless and enjoyable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious — fresh, authentic, and full of local flavours that beautifully reflect Rhodes’ culinary traditions. The hotel also offers an amazing selection of drinks and snacks, which adds to the sense of comfort and indulgence throughout the stay. The hotel’s motto, “hospitality with care,” shines through in every detail — from the thoughtful amenities to the little surprises left in our room. These small touches create an atmosphere of genuine warmth that turns a stay into a cherished memory. In every sense, Kokkini Porta Rossa exceeded our expectations. It’s a place where luxury meets soul, where every guest is treated like family, and where the beauty of Rhodes’ medieval city is matched only by the kindness of its hosts.

Additionally, the property was immaculate and thoroughly thought out with attention to every detail one could hope for.

Absolutely gorgeous hidden gem inside the old city. Nicholas, Angela and Paris extended the most gracious welcome to their extraordinary boutique hotel. Every possible need is not only met but anticipated. The ultimate in comfort and luxury. Frette linens. Limoge dishes. Delicious breakfast. Quiet comfortable elegance. No plans are needed for your visit. Nicholas will have a personalized itinerary ready for every day.

The « medieval » charm of the property, the exceptional quality of the service: the owners went above and beyond to help us plan our stay in Rhodes. We felt really welcome, almost as if we were invited to stay at some friends’ home. The owners put extraordinary efforts in serving/attending to their guests. There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

Such a beautiful place. Imagine waking every morning to your surroundings in a 14 century fortress brilliantly transformed into a very comfortable and exclusive hotel. The staff, the service and attentiveness of the owners make the stay special. The breakfast every morning was exceptional. My wife and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on future trips to Rhodes. Certainly a benchmark experience.

Gem in the middle of old town. Excellent breakfast. It’s a family run hotel and the owners were extremely hospitable and helpful. They made our stay very memorable and I highly recommend this hotel to other guests. The bathing area was slightly cramped.

How can i describe it ? ;) It’s like visiting your cousins ( but veryyy cool and tastefull ones) , so you feeling like you belong . They are not only caring about how your time is in the hotel , but also about your time outside . It’s like you have a personal travel planner which is a great luxury if specially you are like us , who didn’t had time to check about Rhodos before the trip . Exceptional thoughtful details in every angle of the stay . Definitely recommending this experience . And would like to thank again to the perfect hosts :) for the perfect hospitality. Hoping to visit again .

Hotel owners are very professional, sympathetic, great people. They have prepared a great software that includes topics such as the history of the vicinity of Rhodes, the places to visit, the restaurants, the beaches, the must-haves, and they give all the guests a tablet after downloading the daily programs specially prepared for them. This was a great experience that we had not experienced before. Their son Paris is a great musician. Every day, during 'Happy hour' showed the delicacy of accompanying us with his piano. Of course, it is very original, it is impossible not to mention the satisfying and delicious breakfasts with different foods every day. Nothing

Saying that me and my husband were impressed would be an understatement! The breakfast was decadent and with different starter and dessert every morning, we have been spoiled with a very detailed personalized itinerary made every day and cherry on top our suite came with a free standing bathtub that was perfect to relax after a long day of exploring. Thank you Angela, Paris and Nikos for the unforgettable experience!

Excellent environment and great position to discover the town. We loved the details in the decor and the care Nikos and Angela had during our stay. Paris was playing live piano at night, so we had a romantic atmosphere to enjoy our drinks. Definitively coming back!

Nikos and his wife could not have been more helpful. His Rhodes app is outstanding. And we loved our free history lesson he gave us whilst enjoying a cold beer in the garden. Nothing. All good.

We loved everything about our stay! Angela and Nikos are amazing hosts, their property is situated in Old Town! We were shown everything we needed to know by Nikos which set us up to look around the city. The rooms are as shown in the photos, they are so clean and there is everything you possibly need there. The courtyard is amazing it’s so lovely, quiet and clean and afternoon drinks were so relaxing. The breakfast was fabulous and served so beautifully by the staff. Paris played the piano which was so lovely, very talented!! We highly recommend staying here and if we come back we will be there!!! Nothing

What can we say other than this was an delightful experience. The time to detail and quality of food along with hospitality for eating, sightseeing was exceptional, including the app made for guest. The amount of time the staff takes with guest truly makes you feel welcomed and your needs are immediately met.
