Everything was great

Location Dirty and too many beds cramped into small room space.

A great place to stay for solo travelers looking to make social connections during their time in Rio. The hostel staff organize multiple activities each day to help make friends with other travelers. Also, a perfect location - just a block from Ipanema beach. The accommodations are pretty basic for the price. You're mostly paying for the social experience and the location.

A block away from the beach. Some pictures shown are not part of the hostel. Dirty rooms. No space in bathrooms, they are very small. You have to place you towel and clean clothes over very dirty toilets. No common bathrooms or common areas at all, not even the lobby.

Showers are a mess they are basically at the entrance of the rooms so the floor is was always wet, you neither have space to get dress. Despite the installations are modern the mattresses are really uncomfortable.

The location was great. Very convenient a block away from the beach. All the staff I interacted with was very friendly. The guides made sure everyone was accounted for and felt included in the activities I participated in. I like that the hostel offered so many convenient activities through the day. I mainly interacted with Yasmin. She was very helpful in setting up my paragliding, yacht party and soccer game. She answered every question I had.

What really defined my stay here was the atmosphere. It was so easy to meet people, and I ended up making amazing friends. The staff played a huge role in that. The way Yasmin welcomed me at check-in completely made my day and set the tone for my entire trip. She was instantly warm and friendly, treating me like a friend from the moment I arrived. Ian was incredible. He helped me with everything I needed, made me the most delicious caipirinhas, and gave me great recommendations and tips about Brasil. He genuinely took care of me, and his friendly, easygoing attitude added so much to my experience. The daily 8 p.m. caipirinhas were a great ritual, and all the daytime and nighttime activities added so much to the experience. I had a private room on the top floor and got upgraded, which was a nice surprise. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the small balcony was lovely. Daily cleaning was great, and the free water at the bar was very convenient. Tattoo night was another highlight and made my stay feel even more special. Overall, the vibe of this place made my entire trip. Perfect for solo travelers. The room and bathroom were outdated and could use renovation. There was also a constant engine noise near my room, although earplugs helped. Breakfast was also a disappointment. It’s very basic and not particularly tasty, and it’s served across the street at their sister hostel. But honestly, the fact that breakfast is included at all is already generous for a hostel. It was simple, but it did the job and kept me going in the mornings.

Well divided spaces with place to save your stuff. Free caipis for 1 hour each day. Staff was kinda rude.

This hostel left me with mixed feelings. While the location is excellent — just a 3-minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches in Rio — I found it somewhat overpriced for what it offers. The common area wasn’t very lively, though you can head over to its sibling hostel, Ipanema More, which has a much better shared space for working or meeting other travelers. They do organize activities, but be aware that they’re not actually included in the stay as advertised. Costs are extra, and unfortunately, they rarely start on time. For example, we signed up for a sunset activity but arrived after the sun had already set. The rooms are another weak point. They’re so narrow that it’s difficult to move around if someone else is inside, and fitting luggage into the lockers is nearly impossible. Guests are expected to make their own beds and pay extra for towels — which is common in hostels, but feels excessive at the price point charged here. On the positive side, I had a great customer experience with Victor and Melissa. Both of them have such a great vibe — welcoming, fun, and genuinely helpful. They really stood out among the staff and made the stay more enjoyable. That said, staff overall were friendly but often lacked clear information about the activities they weren’t trying to sell, which led to confusion. The worst part was during a tour to Pedra do Sal, where they crammed 30+ guests into a van. Not only was this uncomfortable, but also a violation of traffic laws and a serious safety risk.

it has the best vibe, if you are into meeting new travelers and exploring new places and partying together. Jasmin from the reception was so kind and helpful, it really makes a difference when the team is like this❤️ breakfast can be more diverts, more salads maybe, or a different type of eges
