Excellent location. The English speaker front desk girl is lovable.

One block away from beach. Supermarket, restaurants, convenient store are super close. One of the girl in front desk doesn’t speak English very well. It took me a while checking in ( I was staying here the week before. Not the first time) when I got all wet come back from heavy rain.

The hostel was centrally located, just a few steps away from the beach and conveniently situated near various amenities such as pharmacies, restaurants, and stores. Notably, there are even two restaurants located just outside the hostel. The rooms are incredibly small and cramped, with three-level decker beds that make it difficult to move around. I was there during the summer, when Rio is extremely hot. The only time the AC was turned on was in the evening, from 10 pm to 7 am the next morning, which made it unbearable to stay in the room or even take a nap during the afternoon.

Good price and next to Copacabana beach

Location is very good. Place looks old, in the pictures looks nice but in real life needs improvement, kitchen is old, beds are noisy, mattress is not very comfortable, A/C is never ON and the fan is very noisy, the door has an electronic system that chimes everytime the door opens or closes. The hostel is very basic, I won't stay here again.

The location is pretty great. There are lots of shops nearby with great food options. The hostel is located on a major road so it's easy to find when walking or taking an uber/taxi. The beach is just a block away which is really nice. The beds are comfortable, and the showers are deliciously hot. The staff were all super helpful and spoke enough English and/or Spanish that I was able to communicate with them, since I don't speak Portuguese (I promise I tried my best!!) The location is great for the beach, but it is farther away from the main tourist attractions. Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Escadaria Selaron were all long walks away. I chose to walk to each location, but that's not feasible for everyone. The facilities are cleaned regularly, but I was stuck with inconsiderate guests so it was quickly dirtied again. My main complaint is that the rooms are fairly small. There are a lot of beds (triple bunk beds) in one room, so walking space is limited. The provided lockers are small, so I was not able to fit my backpack in it. Because of this, most luggage is left on the floor, which limits walking space even further. The room tends to be quite loud because of the busy street; it's not the worst, but I would take that into consideration if you struggle to sleep with noises late at night. Additionally, the beds are not made upon arrival. The hostel gives you a pillow case, fitted sheet, and thin blanket to make the bed yourself. This isn't the worst, but it is a nuisance. I've traveled to quite a few hostels, but I've never had to make my own bed during check-in.

The facilities are very basic but work, good for low cost travelers and young people wanting to make friends. Vibrant atmosphere overall. We got the impression that the hostel is understaffed. It took a long time to get checked-in, and most times when we needed help no one was at the frot desk. When we did get help the staff was friendly!

I like to location to hostel, so close to beach and center. They are friendly and I always had a help to them with pation. All of rooms had clima and silence. More important for me they were very respectfully. ...
