Miramar by Windsor Copacabana

Location was in the center of copacabana and ahirt walk from Ipanema.

Wonderful location. The staff was exceptional! The room was clean and good size as well.

The location was good as it was right on the beach. Sauna was well utilized. The sauna walls could use some cleaning, looked like some mold was starting to pop up. Staff was a bit sterile- not very warm and friendly like what I am used to in Brazil. The gym is TINY. Much of the hotel is in need of an update.

We liked the location and proximity to places we liked to go to. We wish there was a faucet in the shower so we can wash in.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was extremely small, and there was a lot of noise around it, making it difficult to relax. I asked several times to be moved to a different room, but the staff told me that no other rooms were available. The food was below average and did not meet my expectations. What surprised me the most was that I was charged BRL 250 for any guest visiting me at the hotel. I travel frequently and stay in hotels all over the world, and I have never experienced such a policy before. In addition, a receptionist named Vicente was extremely rude and unprofessional during my interactions with him, which made my experience even worse. Overall, this was not the level of service or hospitality I expected, and I would not recommend this hotel. Room was very small and nosy

We loved the attention of the staff from the front desk to the restaurant area. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was clean as well. We had a great view of Copacabana beach. The rooftop pool was also very nice addition to hangout while the weather was not so ideal to be out at the beach.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here. I have to say, the staff are some of the best I’ve experienced, even better than some luxury hotels!! They are super friendly, welcoming, always smiling and assisting with anything you may need. They really went above & beyond. Location is excellent, right on the beach and it felt like a safe area for Copacabana. There are always security at the front of the hotel too. Great little gym upstairs, with just what you need to get a good workout in on vacation. Wonderful rooftop pool with great views on the rooftop! Would highly recommend staying here!

The location is excellent and the front desk staff are incredibly kind and helpful. In my opinion, this is not a true five-star hotel but rather a four-star property. The absence of a spa, a very small and poorly equipped gym and a TV that doesn’t connect to the internet, meaning no access to streaming services. Additionally, only one towel per person is provided each day, so if you shower more than once (which is quite common given the heat and proximity to the beach), you need to reuse a used towel. None of these are major issues, just observations that lead me to conclude this hotel does not meet the five-star standard

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating - thank you for the coffees while we waited to check in. We were given good recommendations for dinner/ lunch options close by, which we indeed very nice. We are grateful for the hospitality of using the Miramar's chairs/ towels etc on the beach, which is across the road from the hotel. The location is spot-on fantastic and bang-on Copacabana. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, as we wanted to explore and try local food, which are literally all along the streets in any direction. The gym is quite basic and likely not to be satisfactory those with a more dedicated fitness routine. Additionally, the steam room had an unpleasant odour on several occasions during my stay. Please consider using eucalyptus / similar de-odourants. A heads-up for fellow travellers: the final price on Booking.com may not reflect the full cost. Between the local service fees and Rio’s current tourism taxes, the "at-checkout" price can be significantly higher. I recommend contacting the hotel directly before booking to confirm the total additional fees so you aren't caught off guard. The staff at Miramar were very gracious and apologetic ( thank you)
