Vila Santa Teresa

The location, the welcome, the helpful executive butler, and most importantly the restaurant and its amazing chef. The breakfast and dinner we had were amazing. I don’t usually post reviews but the rooms were disgusting: the toilet had fragments of dry stool around the inside of the bowl, hair and pieces of toilet paper around the toilet. The room was FULL of mold, and towards the end of the day, we could not bear to stay one more minute in the room because of the smell of the mold. The coffee machine water reserve had some green stuff in the corners. The pool was dirty, bird droppings on the floor around it, and half of the sun beds were ripped. The drinks were overpriced. Last but not least, three full pages of rules is a bit overwhelming for guests with huge fines for everything.

Great view. Very friendly and courteous staff. Staff are lovely. Isolated. Doesn’t allow guests. Difficult to access.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff. Stunning views, the rooms were amazingly comfortable and the food / bar served exquisite food. Pretty much a perfect hotel! Only a few minor things but worth mentioning given the cost for 1 night - there were works going on by the pool when we were there (drilling and hammering) both days which we had to ask to stop, the sauna was broken and not in use and the pool needed a clean as there were many bugs in it.

We had the Suite called Eva. Everything was perfect we had the entire Vila for us. The views are insanely beautiful! The food was good but my husband and I love comfort food:) Might add some comfort food to the menu and a shower hand head would be nice.

The views are very beautiful the house is very pretty and well decorated The service was randomly slow and not to attentive to be such a beautiful boutique space.

The view of Rio de Janeiro is breathtaking. The accommodation is simply very comfortable. The food is sublime, and the staff is very polite and sophisticated. The restaurant should be granted a Michelin star. The florest surrounding the estate is fantastic. nothing to report

Location and staff Nothing

The Villa is beautiful in a gated area high above Rio and with a view of the bay, Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer which is second to none. The villa is stylish with lovely rooms and very good food. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is nothing I did not like but would just like to point out the swimming pool has no steps. Therefore entry and exit even from the shallow end was very difficult for my husband who is 70 and has had a knee replacement. The villa was so lovely I would not hesitate to book again but in 33 c this was an issue that I think could easily be rectified for others.

Vila Santa Teresa is like a little slice of heaven! The service was super attentive (the WhatsApp service was great), the complex was clean, well furnished - and the bath (built into the floor) in our suite will live long in the memory. We also used the spa facilities (massage) and had the romantic meal for two (staging was lovely). The latter was five courses and the quality was top drawer.

Gave us complimentary welcome drinks. Jasmine was really friendly & helpful - made the check in process really smooth. The room was lovely, clean & spacious. Overlooking an amazing view from the balcony. Breakfast was nice & Vinicius was attentive and friendly. We also tried their dinner menu & pool snacks. The food was outstanding. Difficulty to get an Uber but staff were able to hail yellow taxis easily. Slightly on pricey side but you really get exclusivity with this villa.
