Nothing Its too noisy. And guess what who’s making the noise? THE STAFF. Yes Them. Most of the staff there are particularly a Part-time who live/stay and do partime I complain already that pass 10PM they are so loud in the lobby and you can heard it to your room but i guess they are not that big fan of making your stay comfortable cause partly they dont do full time there and they are also a guest.

Really nice Was good

Location is good Could not find a locker to lock my belongings because majority of the lockers are broken, there’s no hot showers the electric shower head is not working. The plumbing had problems and water not draining well

I chose the place based on its location for Carnival. I would rate it as "decent." There's a lot of reviewers slamming the place for various things but they all seemed to forget it's not a hotel. It's a hostel. The wifi didn't reach my room in the back. Not a big deal, the common areas are comfortable. PRIME location.

The work area looks nice. However it is not very functional the WiFi is horrible and even just booking tours is difficult. The property is a mess everything is broken toilets don’t flush none of the doors anywhere lock well including rooms and toilets everything is dirty and bed bugs were found. I would only recommend staying there if your only other option is sleeping on the street.

Cleanliness

Nice café to work and eat The bathrooms were so dirty, basically unusable. My room was weirdly humid and smelled really bad. The bunk beds were pretty crammed.

The staffs are very nice and kind. I believe the music in the reception could finish earlier.

Perfect location for Blocos, Carnival participants. Also good connectivity to the airports, beaches (via public transport) and other city sightseeing spots. The dorm beds come at very cheap price - I guess on the Price (low to high) this shows up 2nd or 3rd in the list. Only for the Carnival days (about 10days) the listing is costly. Meet other travelers especially from neighbor countries - Argentina, Peru, Chile. Staff are co-operative with answering your questions (mostly Portuguese and Spanish speaking). Security - they have secured entrances and cctv across the site. Never lost a thing in the dorm rooms (appreciate fellow backpackers). Lapa Bakery - a bakery downstairs offer amazing food - breakfast/lunch/dinner at reasonable prices. The washrooms - the pipes to taps are soo thin, it takes eternity to get anything done - bath, wash hands. Most of the time - it hurts to know you would leave the commode with your poop unflushed, coz the time it takes to refill the flush is eternity for the reason mentioned (thin pipes). Its an old building, pictures show 4k quality, but reality is a dull/old building. There is a kitchen to use, which is clean, but gives a moldy feel to it (smell and visual). However, it is to be noted that its a very low budget option dorm and perfect for the price you pay.

I stayed many times in this hostel. I just love its location in the heart of Lapa, Rio. You can go walking to the beach (Praia do Flamengo) as well as to the bars. It's very easy to go to Rio downtown walking, and to Copacabana or Ipanema by bus, metro, or ride-sharing. The space there is in the hostel is spacious and beautiful. Excellent to eat, relax, play, or work. The manager and the staff in general are super cool. The kitchen and the rooms can be improved.

The location No window in the room. Botton bed is 5 inches from the floor. It's like sleeping on the floor

The staff has a lot of the vibe of a big family. Heraclito was the one who received us with all the affection and introduced us to the place. The location is perfect, the hostel is on the second floor of a great and cheap restaurant with typical food from Rio, and is located in Lapa, the heart of Rio. The hostel has free wi-fi, great accommodation for a home office worker and a "mini" bar. The reception service is available 24 hours a day. All in all, I had a great experience, and if I come back to Rio, I will definitely stay there again.
