I love CabanaCopa! Super fun staff and activities! They have a mix of day activities and parties! This place is perfect if you’re traveling alone or with a couple friends and want to experience everything but don’t want to plan it out- they’ve got you covered! I went to all the tours, parties, and a football match all while making so many new friends! I’ll definitely be back!!

The staff, the vibe, the room for 6 in 3rd floor have new and comfortable beds The water infrastructure stracture is not the best here. room for 8 have old beds The hostel is located far from the center and on a hill way that is very hard to walk (but you get used to it after few days)

The staff and locational were great. Nice place where other travellers are sociable! The bathrooms and the only females dorm is too small . The curtains on the beds and showers have mold, please change them. The new kitchen is way too small for everyone too.

Location was very convenient. For starters the hostel did not have running water for several hours during one of the days I stayed. Instead of trying to figure things out, two of the workers there were making out while they were sitting down in reception. That genuinely seemed to be the only time staff was at reception, otherwise you might find them outside smoking. Cleanliness did not seem to be a priority for the hostel. Bathrooms were dirty and clearly showing signs of mold growth. Rooms were dirty, bed bunks were rusty, and not stable enough. Mattresses were dirty and really thin. AC did not work (at least not in the room I was staying at). The hostel tried to hide under the guise of being "environmentally friendly" to excuse why cleaning crew was not coming in to clean rooms/bathrooms etc. When confronted about all these problems, staff would reply "you are getting what you paid for". This did not happen to me, but I did hear that a room had to be moved due to bed bugs.

Location was good So damn dirty. Please avoid if you are into hygiene. I felt like I was using a public shower on the beach. - when i arrived my bedroom smelled soooo bad, like sweat and dirty old socks - period blood in the shower and rooftop couch - used bandaids, panty liner and dead insect in the shower - lots of sand (but yea it’s a beach city) - heard from a guy he had bed bugs and had to change rooms, his AC wasn’t working in the room too - a friend of mine said his locker was already damaged so he couldn’t even use it - AND NO WATER ON NYE. Mind you this night was the most expensive due to its location. However, when we came back from the beach there was no water and we had to wait until 8am. It was disgusting to sleep in sand and sweat

Location Rooms so small we had nowhere to put our backpacks, very dirty bathrooms.

It is well located which helps to move around They were renovating the place, so being woken up at 8 a.m. by hammering noise wasn’t very pleasant, especially with all the dust. The bathrooms were a bit dirty. I’m not sure if it was because the place was crowded due to the end-of-year period, but it made me feel uncomfortable taking a shower. There was also no place to put toiletries or shampoo in the bathrooms. On the positive side, the staff was willing to help, which helped balance the experience. However, there was an issue with my reservation — imagine arriving at night and finding someone else in your bed. That’s definitely not something you want to experience.

The people were great—both the staff and fellow travelers. The location was perfect for me and I felt safe the entire time. I don’t want to be too harsh, especially since the staff were kind and the common areas were ok. That said, the room itself was a bit of a let-down—extremely cramped for six people, with only four lockers, and a strong musty smell likely due to poor light and ventilation. The place feels quite dated and could use more care overall and even had 2 roof leaksin the room...also the breakfast didn’t feel worth the 30 reais—you’d probably be better off grabbing some groceries and making your own. Maybe ok for a very short stay but I had 13 days and left after a few days - so did others.

The common areas are ok, young people around, nice terrace. free drink for guest who book through Hostelworld. Bedrooms and toilets were terrible. Dirty walls, dangerous electric wires uncovered, wardrobes rusty and broken. Toilet basing with blocked and overflowing drain. It look like a place completely forgotten by their administrator.

I love the location, the vibe and the staff. All were lovely which is what travellers what! Couldn’t fault any of those things at all. There’s only a couple things that I would criticise: 1) there’s only 4 lockers in a room for 6 people, the reason for this is because the room is quite small which I understand. This is only a little criticism. 2) I think what would be really nice to see and would get you a 9/10 rating, is you installed little plastic shelves/pocket/holder on the wall for people staying there. Then people can put their belongings that they need during the night because the room is so small and a little bit cramped things like this would mean people don’t have to keep getting up and down to use a locker (if they do have a locker). These are only little things that I’m mentioning because I want to help your business. But this is my second stay at CabanaCopa and there is a reason for this! :)

In addition the bathroom is clean and there is a good air conditioning. The rooms are a bit too small and are lack of space

A basic hostel in an excellent location with pleasant and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to the metro, supermarkets, eateries, and Copacabana Beach. It felt very safe. Cleanliness was good. The terrace is underutilised. A rooftop bar would make a huge difference. The kitchen is adequate, but it could be better. The common area on the ground floor has a poor layout and should be reconfigured to encourage greater interaction between guests.

Everything is fine just hard to claim to the bed

Location is amazing and other guests were super fun and nice. AC works, hot water in the showers, WIFI worked well. The neighborhood seemed quite safe. VERY dirty. Price doesn't match cleaning level and facilities. Some stuff missing - no hooks on the beds and in the showers, no lights by the beds, no laundry service (laundry around Copacabana is very expensive). In the kitchen there's no kettle (kinda normal for South America), but also not enough pans/utilities, kitchen is SUPER dirty. When you check-in, they just tell you to pick whatever bunk is free (the mattresses were all dirty, covered in sand/crumbles, not a nice check-in experience - you don't want to spend 30 minutes cleaning after previous guests and making a bed).
