The room was clean. The apartment is located on a private street guarded by security. The apartment is within walking distance of many bars and restaurants as well as the metro station.

Location in Botafogo is good enough and quiet Room is very basic

This was my first time traveling to South America. I wasn't sure what "location" was best in Rio de Janeiro, but I really liked that the area was gated and was on a quiet street (per the reviews). This hotel is about 25 minutes from the GIG Airport - about $13-16 for UberX. The hotel is gated and the entrance to the Main Street which is mostly residential also has a security guard and entry gate. The hotel is super close to the supermarket (Zona Sul), pharmacies (drogarias), restaurants, 10 min walk to Botafogo Mall, and 4 min or less walk to Botafogo Metro Station. On the Main Street which is Rua Sao Clemente, you have a beautiful view of Christ the Redeemer. I walked during the morning and at night and never had any issues. I actually preferred to stay in this neighborhood (Botafogo) vs going to Copacabana, although it is only an 11 min Uber Ride. The hotel was just what I needed, nothing super fancy, but it was clean and quiet! The staff especially Mayara and Erik were super friendly and helpful. They informed me on locations of where to eat, laundry facilities and places I should be super cautious as a tourist! They were even patient enough to help me practice my Portuguese! If you are a solo traveler (especially female) and don't need all the frills, this is great option! I would stay here again! It would be cool if there was a SmartTv in the room, but it worked out, since I didn't watch much TV while in Rio. :)

Location, tide, quiet place Nothing

Loved everything about this property … location, access to grocery, access to subway, distance to local beach and more. The kitchenette is well designed and made for a great option to cook and eat at least one meal each day. The staff were really nice. The location was a super safe residential street which had a street guard in addition to property having secure access. The hot water in the shower was a real pain to deal with. The room is also so small that drying of towels is impossible due to no hanging space. And yet the property will charge R$30 for towel replacements every day?.

The stafff, the room. free coffee, location, and cleanliness. There was a problem with wifi but it was later fiixed. The shower was hard to regulate. Other than that everything eas excellent.

Unfortunately room isolation wasn’t great, so in the morning you could hear a lot of noise from inside the hotel (repairs, just staff speaking loudly or the air conditioning units from other rooms going up) even at 8-9 am, which would wake you up if you’re a light sleeper.

Staff are attentive,friendly and courteous. Obviously they are aiming for excellence they are renovating the partly of the facilities which is ok. In the room where i stayed shower room flooring seems not leveled so water is flooding and stay longer to drain. Some towel hanger had a loosening screws so need to be fixed.

The rooms were small but clean comfortable and well thought out. The shared areas were pleasant bright and inviting. The location was good ... safe but accessible to shops,restaurants and transport. The staff were delightful and extremely patient and helpful Nothing

part of the kitchen facilities also includes a microwave oven. kitchen plates and utensils for preparing meals, Hotel desk staff can communicate in English. water filter on the facet not having a window screen on my room window. I don't use air conditioning and seldom the fan at night absence of a Mini Bar

Everyone that works there is super super nice, big smiles, big energy big everything. Just hook me up with a company that delivers breakfast

Exceptional

I was happy to have found a well located AND quiet place to stay during the celebrations of Carnaval in Rio. As it is on a private access road, in the middle of a large block, it felt miles away from the craziness. But it was just a few minute walk to the Metro in Botafogo. The only real quibble I had--and this might have been do to the holiday period--but housecleaning tended to be fairly late in the day. It seemed like it always corresponded to the time I was ready to come back in the afternoon, after lunch, to escape the heat and get a bit of rest before moving on for the day. But as I said the schedule may have been different due to the holiday.

Really nice hotel! Safe location, clean and very nice staff. The price was really good, too. Would book it again. Sometimes it's a bit noisy, but it's not a big issue.

Comfortable room, great shower, kind staff, good location

The room has a kitchen so it was nice to do our own breakfast and it was very big. It is in a closed street what made us feel safe at least in front of the hotel. We did not like that there was no instructions to use the locker and there was no one at reception to ask, since we tried but it did not work. We asked online but we already had left the room for a turistic activity. Would be nice to have tha available in the room. Shower was strange, even you adjust the water temperature according to instructions, it suddenly could get super cold or super hot.
