Sol Ipanema Hotel

Localização Falta de manutenção e limpeza a desejar. Mas o pior foi o vizinho de quarto em algum tipo de surto e o staff não resolveu na noite do ocorrido, chegaram a falar que o hóspede havia deixado o hotel, mas logo depois retornou gritando, fazendo mais barulhos, quebrava e jogava objetos na parede que dividíamos.

Location, cleanliness, practical and functional rooms, very good breakfast. Only two elevators for a large building makes getting in and out a bit slow. Breakfast packed on the weekend

The location and accessibility to the beach is superb. Pool closes at 9p… wish it would be open later, since it’s in such a tourist area.

beautiful rooftop pool with sunset view and corcovado if you stretch your neck, very friendly and helpful staff (particularly at front desk) a big plus included beach chairs and service. i highly recommend in the heart of ipanema

Location, breakfast, rooms Nothing

The location must be one of the best in Rio,right on the beach.No view from my window since I did not pay for an ocean view.Breakfast was very good. I know Rio quite well and would not describe staff in hotels as charming.Perhaps it is because they become jaded with tourists.The reception staff here is not welcoming verging on rude.

Location and pool Elevator

The location is second to none. It is right on the beach and a block away from all the restaurants and shops. Close to the subway. There are only 2 elevators for all the guests who have to compete with the staff and their carts, leaving us waiting many times. The rooms are humid and a little musty. Not sure how this could be solves.

Great location directly across from Ipanema Beach near Posto 9. The breakfast is solid — bacon, eggs, good fruit selection. The rooftop pool is small but the views from up there are stunning. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Good value for the location.

The location, room cleaning service, inclusion of beach chair, towels, and umbrella for the beach, the shower, and the bed. The size of the rooftop and the pool was extremely small.

Read reviews of staff stealing so was very cautious with the belongings I took with me on the trip. Also tried to limit

Excellent Very expensive during Carnival week

Excellent Hotel right in the heart of Ipanema Beach, well decorated, great facilities, clean, and most of all amazing and helpful staff. The fact that the hotel gives you beach towels, chairs and beach umbrella is a very nice treat! The breakfast was delicious, plenty to chose from, with great coffee. The view to the beach is totally worth it! Nothing

I didn’t like anything. The front desk agent yawning and sniffling when I arrived and yawning each time I saw him working The smell of the first room that was unacceptable and moldy. The noise from the corridors and neighboring rooms because there is absolutely no soundproofing in the walls. the cold scrambled eggs and lack of lactose free alternatives at breakfast. The horrible burnt filter coffee at breakfast. And the fact that no complimentary water or coffee capsules are provided for a room that costs over €500 per night is ridiculous. This hotel is a bad 2-3 star hotel - only reason it is expensive is for its location. Don’t waste your money. Book an Airbnb and walk to Ipanema beach. Everything
