The cleanliness could have been better. The shelf of my bed was pretty dusty. Also, if the rooms have air conditioning, then the beds should come with a blanket, in the nights when the air conditioning was on, the room got really cold and it was very uncomfortable to be able to sleep without a proper blanket. I ask for one and they gave me a dirty one :(

lo único negativo que tengo es que las camas no tienen algo para generar privacidad en la habitación.

Very well located, in a great street in Ipanema, few blocks away from the metro.

The rooms are good. The people are super friendly and its a good place for solo travelers to meet new people. I went with another girl and i felt really safe. I loved it, sometimes the wifi wasnt working and be prepared to carry your luggage on the stairs.

The location is amazing, a walk distance of amazing shops and the beach, we liked it a lot Felt a little bit untidy, but for a hostel is what you expect, just be aware that it’s a backpacker kinda vibe all the way

The city location Horrible! Small in a uncomfortable way. It looked like a doll’s house. The bed is incredible small. The restroom is so tight we used the outdoor sink for morning hygehne routine. The walls were musty. The floor was wet and looked dirty (we got at night and left early morning). It has to change dramatically to be honest with the guests.

The toilet are unisex so the ones in the back most of the time peed. The balls (by the pool) are all flat. It’s ok would be better if beds had some kind of curtain for privacy.

Small but perfectly formed room with comfortable bed and private bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great on-site bar. Busy hostel and really appreciated that the area around the pool/accommodation space was quiet after 10pm. Excellent location with easy access to Metro. Area felt very safe Kitchen utensils a bit sparce and no hot water to wash up! But then it looked like most people had takeaways!

I wish there were some hostel-organized activities to encourage interaction among the guests. Also, adding privacy curtains to the beds would be great—not just for personal space, but to keep the air conditioning from blowing directly onto some of the beds

Location. Secured access. Price tag is higher compared to other locations in Rio but understandable since you are in the heart of Ipanema. Single room comes with no A/C and very limited space.

The location was fantastic. Close to the beach, plenty of great restaurants, shops, and the metro. The pool was also great and well maintained. The resident cat Lilo was cute. There was plenty of lounge space and the bathrooms and showers served their purpose. The AC, when turned on, was also functional. The staff were very nice and helpful. Sometimes slow to respond when asking for extra pillows or blankets but thats a minor issue. There was a lack of space to hang our clothes and towels to dry. We stayed 10 nights and we realized half way through our stay that there was a rack hidden in the back that no one had told us about. Near the end of our stay, one of my friends in my room woke up with a ton of red bites on her arms and back they were almost certainly due to bed bugs. I understand this can happen at any hostel but the management needs to do a better job at keeping up with cases of bed bugs and getting it sorted quickly so they don't spread. Luckily I didn't get bit but it easily could've spread to other beds.

The low score is because unfortunately my stuff was stolen from the dorm and I heard two other guests got stuff stolen as well. In my 20 years going to hostels I've never had or heard of this situation. I stayed in other two hostels in Rio and everyone's stuff were on beds and out of the lockers and no one touched other people's stuff. The other problem was three days without the internet. It worked great for just my first night. . The shower is good, but the bathrooms are a bit small to change clothes comfortably

I liked the pool, the vibe, and the people staying the hostel. The staff were lovely, and the ambiance was perfect. it was a calmer hostel, not a crazy party place. There were some people working, others there were on vacation, everyone was friendly and willing to socialize. The hostel felt safe and clean, though the showers are very hit or miss for temperature (you either get freezing cold or burning hot haha). The breakfast options were good, and there are so many cute places nearby! The beach is just a 6 minute walk away which was incredible, I was there every morning. When I left, I accidentally shorted myself a day (my fault). I didn't realize it, and so got charged a late fee for not checking out on time. That's totally okay, I accept. But what bothered me is that when I came to collect my belongings, I had to organize them quickly as many of them had been shoved in a garbage bag, and I couldn't go to the airport with it like that. I needed to transfer my things from the bag to my suitcase, but was told that I would need to do this at the front of the hostel, where people were smoking, drinking and relaxing. I said I didn't feel comfortable doing this because it would disturb their vibe, and also because I had personal items like bras and panties that I didn't feel like having on display. I asked whether I could organize on the deck by the hammocks, and was told no, the front was mandatory. I then insisted that I would be quick and to allow me to do this at the back for comfort and privacy reasons. I felt a little insulted because I had just paid the late fee AND the day fee (again, I had no issue with paying these things as it was my mistake). However despite me being there daily for the past two weeks and being pleasant with all the staff, I was nearly forced to unpack and reorganize my things (that had been shoved in garabage bags) in front of others-it would have been humiliating. Only after my refusal to do so twice was I allowed to organize my things in the still public back area, but was warned twice again that "technically you're not allowed to be here, it's for paying customers only"...even though I had been there two weeks and had in fact just paid the day fee. It felt a little degrading. This is my only problem with the hostel experience. Otherwise, I had an incredible time and would recommend it to others.

I really loved the location of the hostel and the breakfast! The room didn't give off an impression of cleanliness. Walls had marks, ceilings were filled with crawling spiders.
-
Staff could be more knowledgeable and helpful. The sheets are really small, and a quilted blanket could also be provided. Other hostels offer beach chairs and umbrella or have deals with beach stands.this hostel doesn't offer anything like that. Showers are good but the drains are a bit clogged.

I loved the variety of places to hangout, the place was generally clean and the location. I had to ask the staff four times for an extra pillow when I was sick and I never received one. Also, my friends and I received bites after a few days of staying in room D.

Nothing Just the location is okay

The location was wonderfully convenient! The staff were all very nice! The property is a little dated & run down, but that added to its charm.

The location. Walking distance to the beach, there’s tons of shopping and dining places in the neighborhood. Also, the beautiful patio and the swimming pool in the garden is a nice touch. Nothing
