Real Palace Hotel

Very expensive to what it looks like. It looks a poor hotel (a 2 or 3 starts max). Old facilities and room. Not worth the price for sure. I left after one night only.

Good location. The rooms and hotel are so old. I got put in a room that was two flights of stairs above where the elevator stops, and the key stopped working every night. Pool is gross, no one uses it. Just stay elsewhere.

La ubicación es muy buena a pocas calles de la playa, el desayuno es bueno y los cuartos son grandes Se podría mejorar la limpieza y cuidado al detalle. Se debe pagar para que te guarden las maletas, y aunque no es caro es la primera vez que veo que un hotel lo hace.

No hot water heater to do tea or coffee

Great staff, clean room, the breakfast was nice. The passageways could definitely be cleaned more often, there were hairballs and dust in the passageway- but the rooms were clean so that’s a plus. Copacabana is also not a nice area- but if you are wanting to stay there, this is a nice option.

Location

The hotel was great for price! Great location, right in the center of Copa. Great walkability and tons of restaurants, pharmacies, bars, shopping all within a short distance. The staff helpful and friendly. I will definitely be staying here again! My only complaint is I wish the gym was a little nicer (but who really works out on vacation anyways? Lol)

I did not end up staying at this hotel because of how filthy my room was, and the staff that evening I arrived could not clean my room or give me another one, so I ended up homeless that night.

The photos look better than in reality. The gym is severely lacking and the equipment is in poor shape.

The staff was lovely and super accommodating especially considering I don’t speak portugese. It was super loud and hard to sleep, unfortunately I was next to some loud kids who were up until 2 am screaming (not the fault of the hotel). They are doing work on the hotel and it started super early at like 7:30 am banging and drilling etc so I did not sleep well at all. Also the key card had an issue. The first room I got the toilet was not working properly (not a big deal and staff helped me quickly). But everything together made my stay not the best. It seems to be more of a family hotel not the best place for a young adult no kids. I was only staying for one night so it was ok.

I liked that it was very close to a lot of shops and close to the beach, easy access to the metro station as well. In our stay there was construction happening on our exact floor and there was a lot of noise, scrap and movement while we were there at times during the day.

Breakfast location and cost was good Not very clean. Amenities were old. Stairwell was full of construction supplies that is clearly not being used and could definitely have been put away. Hotel is not investing properly in staff and upkeep of hotel.

Location is good. Many restaurants and pubs around it. Near beach Bad conditions of the building

Location location location Understaffed, rooms at very front of 24/7 street bar can’t sleep at night because of the noise. They offer breakfast but we ended up having breakfast at one bakery one block from the hotel Pâo and Company. Front desk understaffed good workers but overwhelmed.

1 location , near beach and going and coming buses, near subway station 2 great wifi i had to work 3 lots of food at breakfast, hungry guests and great kitchen staff with cuttlery and reposition of food 1 windows are dirty they can improve that, i had a lovely tree i could not take clean pictures 2 it is not a Palace, it was in the seventies for sure, it needs carpentry at bathroom door and bed back , stains in courtains. It will be amazing some art , naked walls are sad . As i said it has potential 3 coordinate better cleaning service with guests many times you go back and it is not cleaned , but i had cold and i got a blanket. I will come back for sure
