Windsor California Copacabana Hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful view from roof, very nice pool and workout room, sauna looked wonderful but didn't have time to enjoy. Rooms were exceptionally clean, beds and pillows were super comfortable. Staff helped us with everything we needed. Shower was amazing! Wonderful stay, location is perfect. Would definitely stay again. Would love to have had a hot water kettle in room.

The key card mechanism failed many times, my friends and I had to replace cards and we only stayed for a week

The location was great as it was facing the Copacabana Beach. Getting in and out of the hotel with Uber/van was a breeze. Check in was so pleasant as the staffs were friendly, helpful, and communicates things very transparently. We booked 3 rooms and wanted to check in early as our flight arrived in the morning. We understood that this is a difficult request, but they still helped us arrange for that and even made an effort to put our rooms close to one another. In the end, we got 2 out of 3 rooms ready by the time we checked in and another just shortly after so we could freshen up before our afternoon excursion. The rooms they prepared for us were also next to each other. Although we did not face the beach, our rooms were facing Cristo Redentor, so the view was still so pretty. We appreciated it so much. Thank you! The decor is a bit outdated, especially in the lobby. Though it is not essential, some updating would be great. Cleanliness could also be improved, but it might also be because the furniture is aged and is inevitably harboring dust.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We were given the worst room with a view of a wall. The required paperwork that had to be filled out by each guest was ridiculous. The room was never cleaned daily, and had to continually request towels For the price we paid, I expected much better service.

Beautiful views of Copacabana beach. Excellent staff - friendly and sioee helpful. Secure environment. Delicious breakfast. Room was a bit smaller than expected. Mattress was too soft. The mattress has a heavy pillow top, so if you like a soft mattress, you will love it. For me, it was too soft.

Turn off there could have been a little more understanding about friends visiting in the lobby when they live in rio.And we're here in town.

Personnel is the best, always eager to help. Also, we had a midnight flight, check out at noon and they have available a hospitality room where you can shower or change clothes before going to the airport. The curtains of Rooms in lower floors facing the beach do not provide enough shade and there is a intense light.

Just about everything was absolutely fine.

Right across from the beach, close to restaurants and grocery stores. Super friendly staff. Mayra at the front desk was exceptional.

There was no kettle in the room though there was a coffee machine. The coffee was not free which was not a usual practice for a four star hotel.

You can sometimes hear people in the corridors when sleeping but it didn’t bother us too much

Breakfast and location were fine. Staff wonderful. The BIG PROBLEM was lighting. It was hard to shave because it was hard to see with inadequate bathroom lights. Also reading lights were TERRIBLE as was the general room lighting. Plus, it would have been thoughtful to have a night light. But we were lucky to face the ocean and enjoy spectacular morning sunlight. LIGHTING!
