Same type of breakfast layout without any changes all the 5 nights stay

The staff were nice and helpful. The location is great. The bed was very uncomfortable, the sheets were dirty, and there was no comforter. The A/C was also loud. Lastly they charge R$20 to use the bathroom after you have checked out. My room was near the counter so you could hear people in that area.

Again this was a great place to stay and I will book there again. In the future. Being American kinda makes things complicated because of certain expectations.. Not that it failed them but having a reliable wifi network would help. The bed was very firm but not uncomfortable.

Sadly, the AC didn't work very well and it was constantly warm. The bathroom was small, but you get what you pay for.

It was clean and brand new The pool bar was expensive

Breakfast time!!! Everything was amazing and deliciously cooked. Staff were very nice and helpful. AC wasn’t working. Bathroom was really tiny and there was not any hooks or space to hang your stuff. it took some time to get water from the tap. Pillows were extremely hard and there was not a warm night light available. Window has no curtains, so you can not leave it open for some daylight.

Room is clean, location is good. Air condition in the room which is very useful in the hot and humid weather. Only one problem is, there is no elevator if you have a big and heavy luggage.

Basic hotel. Small room, double bed, clean shower not very warm. Towels &toiletries which was bar of soap.TV, fridge. View of brick wall. Lots of stairs, no lift. Good air con & WiFi. On a busy street, lots of shops & restaurants. Good for the price. Excellent breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, cheese, bread, fresh fruit, fruit juice & coffee. Stairs

If you are a solo traveller of the ex-backpacker mold who likes to be out doing and seeing stuff all day and just wants a cheap bed to crash at and a good shower, this place is perfect. In a great little neighborhood, and the thing about Rio is this, it is built along a coast so most of the city is on a narrow strip between the mountains and the beaches. The metro and tram run up and down. So if you really want to be in Ipanema but your budget won't tolerate it, you can stay at a place farther north and be there in ten minutes on the metro- Saturdays the metro is packed full of cariocas doing the same thing. The breakfast is not awesome but it is filling and not bad and I thought it was kind of charming and quaint. The place is real clean, real friendly, and the clientele when I was there were nice middle class Brazilian families. Not a party place or flop house at all. Interestingly it is waaaay cheaper than a solo room in a hostel. My room was super small, just a little larger than my bed, bathroom is also cramped. As I said above, it is a place for people who go to Rio to be active and just need a place to sleep, bathe, and keep their stuff.

I had a place to stay. I didn't eat breakfast there as plates and cups were not clean. It was very very noisy. Water for taking a shower were not warm. But it is a place to sleep if thats enough for you. No one speak English there. The entrance has lots of stairs, if you are traveling with a luggage, it can be tiring.
