Perfect place to stay for a stay in Rio. Very clean, well located, and staff were very helpful and had good recommendations. Only thing missing would maybe be some hobs or a microwave to cook something basic in the kitchen, but there’s enough to make breakfast or some noodles.

Very hot and no air conditioning and natural ventilation. Also cleaning staff never offered to change my towels the entire 10 nights and seemed to have an attitude when I left old towels on the washing machine and grabbed a new one

Impossible to check in before 9 am, even if you pay for the evening before. Narrow corridor and many stairs up and down to reach the room, difficult to move around with a suitcase, but I guess it would not be a problem with a backpack. By mistake, I made a wrong review about the property on Booking.com and reported it right away. But before Booking.com could fix it, the property owner got really upset and confronted me without giving me the chance to explain what had happened. I had almost to shout to stop him, so he could listen to my explanation. It was indeed my mistake, but his reaction was out of proportion.

The shared bathrooms are very clean. It's very quiet, no noise from the outside, no noise from other guests. The only minus was that there was no TV in one of the rooms, despite it should have been according to the booking confirmation. Staying here gave me an easy landing in Brazil. It's good value, you get a pleasant roon (with a fridge) in a nice neighbourhood and there's no issue with noise at night. Carlos was very welcoming and always ready to answer questions. I'd really recommend this place. Everything was fine.

I was very happy to be there . Staff is FANTASTIC and makes everything for you to feel like at home . For sure it is the best option in Rio de Janeiro ! You ll stay in a very quiet and central place to explore A Cidade Maravilhosa . Thank you so much Pousada Sobrado !!

The ubication in the heart of Botafogo make it accessible to the principal turistic attractions. The beach and the metro are super close, 10 minutes by walk. The owner speaks English which is super nice if you are foreign with level 0 of Portuguese. The price is super fair
