Mandarin Al Shamal Hotel Apartments

Excellent. Nice facilities. Good and supportive staff. Great location.

we agreed to take 2 rooms under my name but upon explaining it to them they cannot understand, just accepting payment, waste of time to explained my self to them, not accomodating all request not provided i really have a terrible experience on this hotel will not recommend at all we came just to celebrate birthday of my kids. it went disaster, they will not allowed little guest in my room, so they forced me to take another room to allow guest to come in. So i paid an additional room so they will allow it but to take the VIP room. but the service for additional room is not for VIP treatment. they have limited to offer, may be for some national or nationality they extend but for some reason was my 3rd visit here but unfornately its not what i expected.

Extremely clean, neat and comfortable. Last time I was there it was more than ten years ago. Maintained its standard till new as brand new?? All was excellent ??

The room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was basic. there were very few options for the price. It could have been better than that.

First of all, the location of Mandarin Alshamal is great. It is central and easily accessible to most of the major areas of Riyadh. It's walking distance to Hayat Mall which has an enormous Danube supermarket which carries a wide variety of food, drinks and homewares. Secondly, the place is extremely clean and spacious. I lost the TV remote once and had to pull back the cushions of the couches - there wasn't one bit of dust. The rooms are a generous size, including the kitchen - which has a lot of storage space. The bathroom is large and there is even a dressing room. And really importantly, it is quiet - SO quiet. We slept so well. And another important thing, I don't know if it's a non-smoking property, but we never smelled any smoke from any rooms, which we have smelled in more expensive places. The bed is very comfortable. The maintenance men and front desk are unbelievably helpful - all the time. Nothing was too much for them to do. Nothing. It is a really great place. I feel so lucky that a friend found it on line. The photos do NOT do the property justice at all. It's so much nicer in person than it appears online. These comments should NOT cause people to not book here. I just think that these little things could truly bring this property to a solid 4 star. 1. There could be a bit more art on the walls and a couple of lamps in the bedroom, on the desk and in living room. 2. The kitchen could have more supplies, like tea towels, mixing bowls, a grater, teapot, etc and more tableware and cutlery than for just 2 people. 3. The refrigerator should be full sized. 4. A dresser would be helpful too.

Very good

large apartment with bedroom, living room, well-equipped kitchen. All clean. Rooms are quiet. Breakfast is simple, not buffet, but good and sufficient. no view through the windows, which are done with blurred glass. no light switch close to the bed, but on the opposite side of the bedroom. But nothing really that annoying.

Overall it was a good experience, staff was very good
