La Tour du Lion

We loved the historic building and the room was incredible. If you like older buildings, this is a perfect place to stay. The location is fabulous, in the heart of the village. We hadn't booked for supper and although they were super busy, they made sure we got a table. The food is great here too. The stairs and floors are uneven as you would expect in such a beautiful old building. We loved this as it adds to the character, but if you have mobility issues it could be a problem.

The Napoleon room was a lovely big room with seating area and views over the main square. The bath was in the corner of the room which was quite quirky and the bathroom in the turret. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Dinner was in the garden which was excellent - a good choice. All staff were very friendly. Nothing.

The historic building was extremely charming, the room was huge with a shower room and separate toilet in the turret. The bistro downstairs was excellent, the staff were lovely and breakfast was delicious. The ancient lock on our door was very difficult to lock and we were there in the middle of the heatwave so a fan would have been a welcome addition (although I doubt being too hot in this property is often a problem).

Great central location in the heart of the village Lovely traditional place The crepes at the restaurant were amazing! Entrance to the room is through the restaurant, which felt a bit awkward. The decor is very basic and outdated. There was no shampoo provided, and with no WiFi and no phone signal, it was impossible to deal with some urgent emails I had to handle during my stay.

Interesting location in stunning village. lovely old building . Quirky room with interesting bath but water pressure low . Very hot weather so room hot but not much they can do about that as unseasonal Private parking would be a bonus

Lovely hotel that's nicely decorated in an old building right in the heart of a stunning village. Owner is a lovely welcoming man and the staff are all very attentive and happy. The meal we had was absolutely fantastic and great value,. Breakfast included and a nice continental selection with a lovely strong coffee. For the price, this is the best place we've stayed. Expect a bit rustic but our room had a roll top bath! The room got extremely hot but i don't think this is really down to the hotel or really representative. We arrived on a day the temperature was up at 37 degrees and understandably there's no air con in such an old building
