"Burger King" was across the street for a quick breakfast. Comfortable king-size bed in my room. Hotel was undergoing exterior painting/ yearly cleaning: with plastic + cardboard covering some lower units. I arrived close to 8pm. No lobby staff, but a kiosk instead. Had a hard time finding my room after climbing outside stairs with 3 bags on wrong building. Stairs I went up did not have room numbers posted.

Comfortable beds. Clean room. A little unsettling to be in a room with plastic sheeting over the window. Understand they are renovating, but was a little weird. I'm sure it will be better once it's done

Everything was good except the deposit they don’t return what they take out of my account

Great for passing through

The Virtual check-in was about as absurd as it can get, when you have someone across the counter from you that can't speak good English, you can at least typically figure it out. I almost left because of not being able to understand the agent properly.

Check-in was done virtually and took forever. My room only had one washcloth and one hand towel in it. I didn’t even try to go back to the front because there was no staff just the virtual computer. The virtual attendant didn’t even give directions to where the room was. I had to ask and then was given the correct building but the wrong side of it. I asked where ice was that was incorrect and on top of it I was charged a $40 fee for checking in early which I understand a lot of hotels are doing now and I agreed to it. I kind of miss the old days with customer service was more important than an extra fee that could be added on. I usually only stay at red roof Inn when I travel with my dogs, however after this trip, I’ll be looking at other chains to stay at. I also requested a handicap room so my mother could come see me since I was in town and was put on the second floor with no elevators so unfortunately she was not able to visit. But honestly, if you need a place to stay for one night, it wasn’t horrible room was relatively clean, had a mini fridge and a microwave.

The location is great, with many name brands along State Street, on the west side of I-90. The staff responded quickly to all my concerns. The video attendant was okay, but the audio delay & cutouts made it difficult to understand. I would certainly consider lodging there again.

Loved the balcony

Nothing I don't like the fact that Red Roof obviously has a deal with Booking com that makes guests pay (via credit care info provided) for lodging before guests arrive. I was shocked when I got an email from Booking that my room had already been charged to my credit care. I thought I was making reservations directly with Red Roof, who had said my credit care information would not be applied until I arrived at the hotel. Apparently I was misled into thinking I was doing business with Red Roof, but was not. You both are a bunch of thieves, working together to put out false advertising. If I can I will try my best to avoid both Red Roof and Booking.com forever!

Convenient location ok price Room had a musty oder bathroom was really tiny. Wouldn't stay there alone as a woman. Not enough lighting outside and lack of over night staff make it unsafe alone.

The motel was fine - clean enough, but it is starting to look a bit long in the tooth and I'd imagine will need a remodel sooner than later. The worn look of the paint and furniture are starting to make it a little difficult to present as clean, even though it was. I stayed here my last trip in 2017, and had remembered it being fresher looking then. But everything functioned fine, and if you're just there to sleep at night and grab a shower, it does the trick.

Virtual check in. Couldn't understand what the person on the other side was saying with heavy accent. Room was damp and musty. Bathroom door felt like cardboard, it was hard to open without the door trying to bend in half. There were cracks in the door and most of the bottom looked chewed off.
