Ledges by the Bay

Poor Wi-Fi connection in room at the outer range of resort.

This is a basic motel room without frills. Our room was clean but the stained chair and stained ironing board as well as the cobwebs made it feel neglected. Breakfast was coffee and muffins, nothing freshly made. The bed and shower were decent. The biggest disappointment was the sliding glass door overlooking the water, which we paid extra for. The handle was missing and the slider was hard to open. There was no screen so we could not sleep with the slider open.

Room was clean. All updated finishes. Great staff. Nice views. 4 miles from great dining. View were great. It was so good that we booked on the way back Bar Harbor to Portland for a night because the hotel in Bar Harbor was so horrible and twice as expensive as this property. Breakfast was well done, room is nice. Balcony view very good. Staff was exceptional.

I needed to take care of 5 or 6 large spiders in the corners of the room, before unpacking. The sliding door for the balcony also stuck badly. We took advantage of the swimming pool which was well-maintained-- albeit a bit on the older side because there were cracked and missing tiles. This by no way-- made a difference in our enjoyment. It is an indication only of the age of the property. There were many lounge chairs and towels available. The location was ideal and very close to the center of town. We didn't stay for the continental breakfast but the dining space and balcony overlooked the water. We would return to Ledges by the Bay.

On our way to the room the path and lawn were riddled with feces from pets. It made the trek in and out with our bags an obstacle course that was made much worse once the sun went down. The continental breakfast was weak at best. The OJ was good but, if you didn’t want a waffle, pickings were slim. I would not stay here again.

Disappointed there was no daily maid service

Breakfast was very limited and use of multiple electrical items caused a fuse to blow; pool tiles & ladder in need of repair; A/C unit visibly dusty. BUT room was quiet, bed was comfortable, shower was nice and the pool was still very enjoyed despite the cosmetic stuff.

The room was clean and the view was amazing. Very quiet place. Breakfast was very continental. Not much to choose from.

Really nice place! Disappointed we were only staying one night as it was so beautiful.

Not a great offering for the price. Took advantage of the Lobster Fest with rates. Breakfast for price was substandard in my opinion,

room was clean on arrival, check in was good, but failed to tell us about putting tag on door to have the room cleaned. talked to someone else, because we didn't have a tagged. they said they would get one to us, but failed. Breakfast is just bagels, muffins, coffee etc. we didn't have a balcony.

Everything was quaint. However, the unit could have been cleaner! The bedding was great, plenty of towels and essentials. But, the shower curtain needed to be replaced and the floor could have been washed!!! Overall I would return.

We came for the Maine Lobsterfest. Close to Rockport and other cities with cute downtowns. Beautiful views from the balcony of our room.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view was just amazing and there was a little balcony to sit outside and look at the bay. We slid the bed so we looked out at the bay during the night (we moved it back before we left). It was quiet, and there were not a lot of lights outside destroying the darkness. The "breakfast was a bit "meh" with store bagels, muffins, cereal. There was a waffle-making station, which was nice, and the coffee was good. Also, there were apples.

Coffee was good. Air conditioner worked poorly. Fan in bathroom very loud. Killed spiders in room and bathroom. No view.

House cleaning forgot to stock up toilet paper. Apart from that, everything was great. The view of the bay made us relaxing after a long time drive.
