Hotel Adriatic

Great and peaceful location, just a few minutes from the Vatican. The rooms were clean, although the furniture is a little old. The staff were very kind and helpful. Our flight arrived later than expected, outside the reception hours, but they were very kind and waited for us for 3 hours. Definitely recommend this place!

The location was good. The elevator worked but beware there are mezzanine floors for which you will have to carry your luggage a couple of stairs. The second room we were moved to was much better. We booked a room with AC and double beds and we rcvd a room with one bed and a broken AC, which we discovered around 11pm (the AC). Of course there was no one at the reception bec it closes at 8pm. After submitting a complaint to booking and staying on the phone for an hour at 12am, they said we can't reach the hotel and asked us to try to bear the night... we finally got moved to a different room on the next day. So, we spent a night without AC in Rome in July on our vacation, let that sink in. Now let's get to the first room amenities: the bathroom was a joke, the bidet's water flow was so weak and thus useless. There was no place to hang your clothes in the bathroom, so you either put your towels or your clothes and the only hanger was above the toilet. Anyways, they moved us the next day to a better room, more space and a balcony although we asked at check in if it was possible to move us somewhere else cause that dungeon they put us in had one bed and we needed a double bed and they said a clear "no available rooms". But after our complaint there was suddenly a room available in the early morning. Let alone how rude one of the receptionists was in refusing to give us a second key to a double room... We explained we have different schedules and we wud appreciate a second key and she started lecturing us about how SHE always stays with her friends when they travel together, like seriously?! You are telling your guests how to plan their visit?! I would never recommend the place to anyone nor stay there again due to two things: careless and unfriendly receptionist, and the uncertainty about which room one wud land (the dungeon or the sunny?) let alone that the bathroom of the sunny one doesn't have clothes hangers and the shampoo holder in the shower is broken, see pics. You would expect hotels to welcome their guests and try to help them, but nope, not there, we didn't feel welcomed at all.

Great location but not much more than that. It's fine for a 1-2 night stay No AC in the sweltering heat, the arrangement of the room was not very comfortable to use
